Luxe Rachel Zoe Hammered Horseshoe Necklace
Need Thin Neck...
….which I don't have so it sits too high on me and is uncomfortable. Well made. Bought gold tone. Had lusted after this for a long time. Skinny gals will love this. Makes quite a statement.
More Like Pewter Than Silvertone
Very attractive; lies flat; a little heavy.
The hammered effect is a bit too regular for my taste, but still looks good.
What a disappointment!!!!! It just arrived and I could barely contain my excitement as I opened it- then UGH! It does not look as it appears online. The color is different. It looks VERY cheap. I am so bummed out. It is my first Rachel Zoe purchase and I really expected to be WOWED. It was not the case. I will return it asap.
It was so hard to choose between gold or silver so I purchased both. Got so many compliments, so unique and bold.
Not as pictured
I asked the question before I bought to see if the shade of gold was soft like the picture or bright like the video. The answers were it was like the picture and it is NOT !
It looks obviously fake, bright and brassy. I was very dissapointed.
This necklace in gold is absolutely stunning--a definite fashion statement and fabulous. If you don't like larger, bolder pieces, this is not for you. It is weighty and very well made. Hammering detail looks great. But if you follow Rachel Zoe's philosophy of bold is better, this is your necklace! I get so many compliments on this necklace and am asked where I go it. When people hear it's Rachel's piece, they understand why it is so fantastic! This necklace, as Rachel would say, is "MAJOR!!"
THIS NECKLACE ROCKS!
I was so excited to receive this piece. It did not disappoint!! It is a statement, wowza, piece. I feel so elegant when I wear this and get major compliments. I also bought the Luxe Rachel Zoe chain link necklace in the silver and it was exactly the same response. BANNANAS! I got this in gold and the chain link in silver. The biggest dilema .. oh my which one to wear today? Way to go Rachel, home run in my book on these pieces.
Seen Rachel wearing this necklace many times on TV. Always a hit! It's bold, not too shiny and does make a fashion statement. Not for the 'faint of heart' as it is an attention grabber. Looks amazing worn with a white, collared shirt or under a dark blazer as it fills the neck area beautifully. Height can be adjusted so it fits every neck size well. Bit heavy, but not uncomfortable to wear. Very on-trend and sleek. Winner.
Love this! Every time I wear this, I get compliments. I find myself selecting outfits to wear so that I can wear the necklace. It's big, bold and smashing. Rachel wears this on her show (Bravo).
I typically love all things Rachel, so this review hurts a bit...
Nice quality though a little heavy, which I don't mind. Two drawbacks is that the gold is pretty bright so maybe not ideal when up against all skin tones. My primary complaint though is that the style doesn't work for curvy girls necessarily. Both the length and the more extreme curvature of the necklace may not flatter every body shape. (Yes, I think body shape when I consider jewelry!)
Alas, I have to return it because it doesn't compliment me but I would guess it could be a great necklace for others.
Love this necklace!!
This is a show stopper necklace. I bought the silver and you can see it glimmer from the lights. It isn't too heavy and I think because the back is hollow out and not a solid piece. It works well with casual tee shirt and jeans and looks oustanding with a black dress to go out on the town.
Quality issues? What happened between then & now?
When this necklace first aired (a year or so ago) I bought the silver version of this necklace. It's substansial and weighty (which I love....says the "real" thing to me) and looks important and expensive. It's subtle silver sheen is lightly hammered with a handmade look adding to it's couture appearance. I decided to buy the gold version and just received it. All I had to do is pick up the piece to know that the necklace had been changed. It does not have the weighty feel and quality metal of my silver necklace. I unwrapped it to an ugly, cheap, tacky gold glare that to the touch feels plastic and not like any metal I've felt. The hammering is now machine looking spaced tiny dents that look nothing like the silver necklace I own. Even the chain on the gold necklace is lighter in weight and a weird plasticy feeling material. WHY? I'm SO DISAPPOINTED. It looks and feels cheap. I could get something similiar at one of the cheap teenage fashion accessory stores for around 20 bucks. One more line I liked at QVC that has succumb to using cheap ugly materials. I guess all I can say is I'm glad I got one of the first run necklaces.
