Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Results I received my first ever cast iron skillet two days before thanksgiving. It was amazing right out of the box. I was able to try Fried eggs and bacon. The first egg stuck a little but frying eggs and bacon got better after each try. I used the skillet to cook Roasted Brussel sprouts and squash casserole on thanksgiving day with great success. Looking for more pieces for my collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pans I worked at W-S kitchen store for years. Lodge products were top sellers and great products. The priced would have been doubled at the store. I am excited that QVC is carrying Lodge pans. Other than Le Creuset and Staub which are completely different animals, Lodge would be my pan of choice in the kitchen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is not your grandma’s cast iron! I have had this pan for a year and it is fabulous. Lodge does a special heat treatment on this which changes the molecular structure of the iron. It will not rust. I still rub with oil after use and do not put in the dishwasher even though it says you can. I also have a 9” and Dutch oven of same heat treated from Macy’s (now discontinued) and love them all. It is worth the extra money to get the heat treated; use them camping and no problem from condensation at night (cook outside on camp stove). I just bought this for a gift for my daughter-in-law’s new gas stove top. The only skillet you will need; once you use it awhile and keep seasoning it eggs slide right out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great But Over Priced I received this skillet as usual in a timely manner and in excellent condition. I have been looking at skillets for awhile and this brand is high in consumer opinions like from Good Housekeeping. So the skillet is great and I would recommend it as a first choice pick. Only for the first time I feel cheated on the price. Yesterday at my local grocery store I came across a display of LODGE cast iron skillets and the exact same skillet was $19.00. I paid $47.98 on sale. Granted the handle cover and small piece of silicone they call a trivet didn't come with it and not worth 27.99 in my opinion. What is described as a cookbook is free. I would send it back, but I would end up paying $16.44 just for shipping. So shame on me for not doing more looking before ordering.
