Linea by Louis Dell'Olio Regular Wide Leg Pull-on Pants
Certainly not the quality expected!
I have many, many pieces by Louis and love them all - but these pants were a very odd material - paper thin - just not the quality I expected from Louis....
I can't imagine wearing this paper-thin material anywhere. Any wrong move and the world knows what "brand" of panty I wear. The odd texture does not allow it to drape over my curves but lies flat on me. What a disappointment.
Fabric is just too thin; paper thin.
This fabric might work for the lining of a skirt, but it does not work for pants. I was waitlisted for some time and was looking forward to receiving, but this was disappointing. These go back.
Not pleased with fabric
I was on the wait list for these pants. The style, length and comfort are great. The fabric is very thin. If you walk across carpet they cling to your leg.
The Next Best Thing to Silk
I am absolutely head over heels for these pants. I love the fabric, a close dupe to silk charmeuse, yet so easy care. The fit, the style, the colors (have both), packability, washability...what's not to love?
I love the waistline and the pockets of these pants. Finally a size M waist that's not too tight. And pockets I always love. I just thought the material was a bit too thin and I am not into support undergarments to hide even the lightest cellulite. I also didn't like the leg hem lines, nor the wideness seemingly all the way down the leg. I like the flare legs but don't want the legs large all the way down. I still say that Louis makes fine and beautiful designs.
Great for summer!!!
I've ordered two pairs of those pants and I'm so happy with the fit which is a true to size for me (size XXS). I love this fabric (90%poly, 10% spandex): it feels like silk, the same as safari shirts item A213216, and the new faux de chine tank tops. Very light weight, easy care, wrinkle free, great for summer. Thank you Louis for your hard work, and thanks QVC!
Will Be My Go-to Summer Pants!
I don't understand the negative comments about the fabric of these summer-weight pants, which I ordered in Black in my normal Linea size of Medium along with the kimono in the same fabric. The fabric looks all the world like real silk crepe de chine rather than a synthetic. And it is the same weight as my real silk summer pants. These are a relaxed fit, which is what I prefer for the hot and humid summer months. I will wear them with my kimono but also with any number of other summer tops.
Great Summer Pant
I ordered these in both the black and sand. I am in South Louisiana and wanted a lightweight summer pant and these fit the bill perfectly. I disagree that they are like the parachute material of the past, I think they look and feel like silk. I did order down to an xsmall, as I do with all Louis' pants that have an all-elastic waist. They fit perfectly, the same fit as the pebble crepe pants. I did have to hem them, at 5'4" I find the petite's are just a tad too short so I knew I would have to do that. I am very happy and expect to get a lot of wear from these, another classic from Louis.
The sand pants in small are a really good fit for me. The fabric seems a little bit lighter in weight than the Kimono jacket (A222265), but that does not bother me - flow nicely and are cool for summer. You certainly can't see through them. I am on wait list for black, since the pants they sent by mistake were Susan Graver black crop pants. Hope I get them.
THE PERFECR TRAVEL PANT
This has now become my favorite travel pant - lightweight, wrinkle-free, and the material dries in several minutes. I have purchased 2 pair of pants, 2 tanks, and one kimono to mix and match on my trips. Thanks, Louis, for keeping me so well dressed with a minimum of effort and one suitcase to carry!
When I first opened the package, I had a sinking feeling about these pants. The fabric rustled and felt thin. Then I remembered why I had ordered them: I was looking for summer weight black pants. I ignored my reservations and tried them on. I was happy with the fit (I wear a size 12 and ordered the M) and they looked good on me. I wore them the next day with a George Simonton top -- it was an unseasonably warm spring day and I was so comfortable and cool! No wrinkles or stretching out. I think these pants are going to be one of my summer staples.
