Linea by Louis Dell'Olio Long Sleeve Single Button Gauze Jacket
Just what the doctor ordered
I believe this is my 1st Linea product and I love it. This gauze jacket is long, about knee length in the front and shorter in the rear but covers your behind; perfect for any length skirt, dress or pants. The gauze material is light but strong enough to be firm and flowy. The style reminds me of the 70's for church, Easter or business with a knee length dress.
I wish Linea had more colors.
You have your wants and your needs
I purchased this in XS, in cobalt, mainly because the black was sold out in my size, for many months, so I had to settle for cobalt. Cobalt turned out to be a great color, not really a cobalt, but a blue with duller overtones, very denim friendly, especially with indigo denim. What I I love about this top is the perfect union of the jacket design with the fabric, Louis picked the most perfect top quality fabric for this top. It is not too heavy nor too light, resembling a pebble crepe. The fabric is not really gauze, but it is semi-transparent in the light. The design is flowing, and the fabric flows with it. After many months, I was surprised to see that black became available in my size, so I ordered another in black. It goes with everything-- pants, leggings skirts, dresses-- everything! It can be worn in every season. As Louis said, we have our wants and our needs. I want this top and I need this top . What I would really want and need are MORE colors. Bring it on ,please.!
Not a good purchase
This Gauze Jacket was a big disappointment to me. The material looked cheap and was scratchy. Looked good in the front and left me looking straight in the back Was not a good fit and did nothing for my figure. My second time purchasing this designer item with disappointment will not be fooled again.
Beautiful color , fit and material. Love it. Can dress it up or wear more casually. Love the length
I love this jacket! I believe it might run a bit large but not real sure because I have been losing weight so it is hard to tell for certain. This REALLY looks great on. I receive so many compliments when I wear it. I bought the blue only because the black wasn't available. I am petite so it is a bit long but I liked that feature. Thanks!
Blue is divine.....
Had this top on my wish list forever and finally ordered. The blue is just s stunning color and I can't wait to pair it up with my white slacks. The material is very nice weight...good for winter or in spring...just depends on what you put underneath.
I found that there was very little give to the material and recommend staying true to your bust measurement size for Linea tops that are not knit tops. Button on me falls right below my bustline....which is rare for me with these sort of tops. My usual experience is that the seam/button is too high. Not so for this top. The button hits at right spot to pull in garment and then falls gently away from my body.
So very happy with this top and will get my monies worth with this great tunic.
Went by the size that was given on site too big went down to xs still too big across chest. Now I have to pay for returning twice.
This is beautiful. So glad I got in on it before it's all gone. Black is gone already but the blue is gorgeous! Very figure flattering. You hit a home run with this one, Louis. Would like to see this style come back next year and/or for winter and more colors.
I was very surprised by the jacket based on the rave reviews I read. I think it's really cheap looking, especially because of the unfinished quality of the edging and the fabric itself. I let myself be seduced again by a promising item after I swore I would never order again, after my last disappointment, except during free shipping offers. Between delivery and return costs, I just spent about $15 NOT to have a jacket.
Truly love the style of this jacket. Wish I had ordered one in each color offered. I got the blue, and get tons of compliments each time I wear it. You certainly don't see this jacket coming and going at Easter Brunch!! Black would have been just as dramatic.
I just received this in the cobalt blue. It is well made and flows beautifully. I will be wearing this to my daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner in May with black dress pants and a black tank top. The cobalt blue is a gorgeous, saturated color that is somewhere between navy blue and teal. I got the 1X and it is a perfect fit. I wish it came in more colors. Could we please see this in soft pastels for Easter/Spring (mint green, butter yellow, peach, pale pink, aqua, powder blue, lavender)? This cardigan is the perfect length and very flattering on. It will be a nice addition to my wardrobe for dressy occasions.
This is a garment that is perfect - especially for those of us who aren't stick thin. I have curves and it's so hard to find anything that is flattering . This jacket is the perfect length, has a nice shape to it instead of straight and square like a box. I just don't understand why more designers can't take this as an example of what is flattering on a woman's body. I have several pieces of Louis Dell'Olio's clothing because he does know how to make a woman's body look it's best. And the fabric is amazing, I love gauze because of it's flow.
