M7236 - Lightweight Ergonomic Snow Shovel with Wheels
I like the concept however, after the first use, this unit started to fall apart.
Easy, Easy, Easy!
We love this product!! It is best used for freshly fallen snow, and takes no effort at all. Assembly required some communication with the manufacturer, because we accidentally received 2 left handles. They were so eager to help that it was no time before we were up and shoveling!!
For the right amount of snow, it' the right tool
We recieved this 'plow' 3 years ago as a gift from a friend from Florida and we figured, "Well, its the thought that counts." But for 6" or less of snow on your driveway, this is the tool we turn to so we get to work on time. Yes, it is faster, if you are a team and one person shovels the snow that gets pushed off to the side. This year for extra stability and strength, we replaced the original axle with a threaded rod and used locking nuts to hold the wheels in place and it was a BIG improvement. No if you can only have one tool for snow, this isn't it. But if you have the room to store it and frequently get 6" or less, this clears it quickly. If you use it often you will probably make your own improvements to suit your own needs, but that was pretty easy to do.
I bought this for my husband and sons who have to shovel when it snows. We live on a corner lot in a development with sidewalks, and this shovel is indispensable! One of them is able to go out and is done in "no time", having done the driveway too. It takes all the work and drudgery out of snow removal and leaves us feeling kind of smug as we watch the neighbors slave away, while we are back inside and done. Need I say more? One of the best purchases we made from QVC!!!
Without this tool this week I sure would not have been able to clean my driveway and walk, in fact the neightbors too. With the ICE, SNOW that came down this just pushed its way thru like, well almost like, a breeze. the ony problem I sometimes have is when I have to dump it sideways. but then I'm not a man and it depends how must snow/ice you put on it how heavy it is to turn sideways. I wouldn't give it up for the world...It is the MOST popular snow removal tool in our neighborhood... you just push. tip over and dump... or puish tilt sideways and dump... then roll it back to the storage shed.... a really great tool.... As far as being heavy. NO WAY in fact you sorta wonder if it can do its job and then your sooooo glad when you find out it not only can but Does a GREAT job....... I'm, really sorry some people found it awkward to put together... We live in PA and it gets used a lot.....My 11 year old granddaughter uses it too...
Not my best purchase
I was really disappointed with this item. When I ordered it, I never suspected that it would come disassembled. It would have helped if it was even partially assembled - especially the lower part with the wheels. It was difficult to put together. The instructions were somewhat difficult to follow, especially since the diagrams were too dark to really get a clear picture of how to put it together. Some of the screws didn't fit in the holes and the bolts were hard to screw onto them. Maybe I just got a bad shipment, but not according to some of the other reviews. I finally got someone to help me put it together and he was surprised to find the same problems with the assembly. The design with the wheels is a great idea, but the wheels are not very stable. I was surprised that the wheels were of a light weight material (plastic?) and not a hard rubber and metal. I really suggest a hard look at improving this item and maybe consider a partially assembled product for shipment, especially with what is being asked for it. I would have sent it back but the cost would be too much.
My husband loves it
We've had this for over two years and when the snow is so wet that your $800.00 dollar snow blower can't handle it because it can't get that close to the ground this is the best shovel ever. We may order another one for my son. Love it.
Impossible to assemble
I couldn't even fit the first screw in the handle. It was a waste of time and money. Poor workmanship.
So far I love it
I have read alot of the other reviews and was surpirsed that so many had problems putting the shovel together. It took my friend and myself less than 30 min. to complete the shovel. It worked perfect and I am very happy with the product. The instructions were very easy to read and understand, all of the parts fit very well. For two ladies over fifty it was fun and we did it on our lunch time with time to spare.
I too have no ideas for the poor reviews! We have had ours about four years and it is the best purchase I have ever made for my husband! Apparently there is a new vendor on this product. My husband uses ours and then four other neighbors come and use it and then we drive over to my parents and do their walks and driveway.
It has been used hundreds of times with never a problem and does an excellent job and it is called the "community shovel" in our neighborhood!
hard to assemble
i couldn't tell if this product worked. it was very hard to
assemble. i couldn't get the wheel caps to stay on.
for such expensive shipping, i would have hoped
this would come partly assembled at least
Absolutely Love It!
I bought this shovel last winter for my husband and we love it. It very easy to use and does a good job. It even makes shoveling fun if you can believe that!!!!
