Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love My Le Creuset! Best tool in the kitchen. I've delayed my purchase of this item for months. After purchasing one as a gift for my sister, I still delayed until now. I am in love with this versatile piece of heaven. The Le Creuset brand stands alone with quality and functionality. I have not been disappointed by using this Braiser. I have already used it several times with the first week of purchase. I chose the Marseille Blue and it's a fantastic match to my kitchen décor. Every at home cook needs this item. Thank you QVC and Le Creuset for greatness in a pan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile, everyday piece This is not just for casseroles or braising. I've used it for making sauces (spaghetti sauce/meatballs; chocolate), frying and stir fry, roasting, etc. You name it. Like all Le Creuset, it's cast iron, well made, heavy, but the heaviness is somewhat negated by the two handles. I'm 62 years old and find this very manageable, because the pan is also well balanced. Holds the heat beautifully, and cleanup very easy. Just this Sunday, made Coq au Vin, with a whole , 6 lb cut up chicken with accompanying vegetables. Did the entire dinner in 90 min. including prep and cook time. An investment piece for all time. You won't go wrong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A wonder pot (and it's pretty!) This thing is wide! I've made perfect rice 3 times (translation: not a fluke) and perfect oatmeal. I never had perfect rice until now. I look for things to cook in it. Tonight it served as a skillet. Low to moderate heat. I haven't cooked a roast yet, but know it will do a beautiful job. My Le Creuset Dutch oven is my crown jewel on the stove, but this is my favorite for actually cooking in. It is definitely a worthwhile purchase because it can do so much. I recommend it as a gift, but don't give one until you have yours (unless it's for someone that cooks for you). Then it's a perfect gift.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Luv this pan! I had seen this Braiser on some of cooking shows where they used it for just about everything they cooked. I have less expensive everyday pans that I use but haven't been really happy with them. So, I bit the bullet and purchased this Braiser in Flame and absolutely love it. I love the shape and the size and it looks great sitting on my stove. Granted, it weighs more than a small child but that's hardly a problem when I consider the quality and how everything turns out so tasty and perfect. This is my second piece of LeCreuset and I am pretty certain that there will be more beautiful pieces in my future. If you're thinking about this or any other LeCreuset piece, don't wait. You won't be sorry you spent the money because it's worth every penny. Easy pay helps!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it! I use this braiser almost every day. You can cook just about anything in it. The only thing I don't use it for is soup. I did make chicken soup in it one time but it's not quite high enough. It's the easiest cleanup ever!!! The pan is heavy so be aware of that. I'm using it to help strengthen my wrists. It takes a little getting used to cooking on lower heat. Every thing I have made in this pan has come out tasting perfect....even the soup. It sits on my stove top when not in use as it's so pretty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Braisers Are The Best! Le Crueset braisers are the best! They are your everyday pan that takes he place of fry, saute, casserole, roast and bake pans. I love the double handles to easily carry and move from stovetop to oven. For the past year i used the 5 quart solely to prepare my meals for the week. Normally cooking for 1-2 people I do everything in this one pan and wouldn't be without it. Have decided to get the 3.5 quart though for those times I was only making a single grilled cheese, burger or eggs. This is plenty generous for most folks needs and easily could handle 3-4 chicken breasts, a medium roast. I look forward to doing fritattas, baking brownies and rolls. You won't be disappointed with either size LC braiser. They are fabulous and clean-up beautifully.
