I'm so glad I got this cookbook - it's the best place to start with Le Creuset! Besides the recipes and beautiful photos, it gives you ideas on what you can use the different pieces and sizes for. Reading the book and the recipes gives me direction on which piece(s) will work best for me.

The book is divided into the types of Le Creuset pans they sell such as meals for the skillet, Dutch oven, and other pieces which I can't remember the names of. I would have preferred a recipe book that was mainly for Dutch ovens since that was what I purchased. I think there are other cast iron cook books out there that aren't as much money and give you more useful recipes. The couple of recipes I have made so far were very good, just would have liked more for the money.

I GOT THIS BOOK WITH MY SUNSHINE YELLOW POT. FANTASTIC COOKBOOK WITH GREAT RECIPES--HAVE TRIED SEVERAL OF THEM WITH RAVE REVIEWS FROM MY FAMILY. LOOOOOVE IT!

Unless your buying the pot where the book comes with it, I would bypass this book. You can buy a cast iron cook book for a lower price & get more recepies. While the cookware itself is absolutely stunning, the book is not that great.
