This was my first LG purchase in a long time (I'd used her Spackle face primer a very long time ago). I'm a Bare Minerals diehard (much of it bought from QVC - in fact, my first Bare Minerals purchase was a kit from QVC), and have stuck with that line for color cosmetics for 13 years. But I've been dipping my toes in the color cosmetics of other lines (IT shadows, Doll 10 lipsticks, all bought from QVC) and this looked like an excellent value when I saw the presentation, so I decided to try it.
First, the brush -- beautifully made, sits well in your hand, and that angled end is great for applying just the right amount of liner at the lashline. The other end grabs a nice amount of product.
Second, the Eye Spackle -- it seemed a little thin and watery at first (I released the cap a bit and smushed the tube to mix the product, which improved the consistency), but it applied easily and dried quickly. I use a number of different eye primers (Urban Decay, Smashbox, Bare Minerals) and it seems to work just as well as they do.
Finally, the shadows -- some of the lighter shades (the upper row) don't have as much pigment as I'd expected, so you either need a heavy hand or or you need to apply them damp. The bottom row make fantastic liners, applied straight from the palette -- the Royal is especially great to brighten the whites of your eyes when used below the lower lashes. Carbon is a black, but it's not harsh, so it's suitable for older eyes if used with a lighter hand.
And then we come to Storm. My hair was originally a very dark sable brown, but over the years it's become somewhere between pewter (at the back) and silver (at the front). My sparse brows (what's left of them, thanks to overplucking in my late teens) are still predominantly dark, with a few silver hairs interspersed, so it's hard to match them with a brow color (there's nothing 'universal' about any brand's 'universal taupe' for me -- it looks universally ashy, no matter which product I try. Brunette tends to be too dark thanks to the grey, as well as being too stark in comparison to my hair color, and grey would look horribly unnatural due to the amount of dark hairs I have left). I've been using a brown Bare Minerals shadow called Serenity, but it's hard to find because it was released in a QVC kit about ten years ago and was never part of the regular line. I decided to try Storm (which is a darker shade than it shows in the photo, a brown with a grey undertone), and it's an even better match than the Serenity. The color match is spot-on, and it's probably going to be my new brow color until I hit pan.
One thing I found was that there's a lot of fallout as you load the brush. so there's a good deal of product waste remaining in the palette. I try to pick up the fallout and use it, but still found a lot of shadow left scattered on the palette surface. You'll want to blow the remainder off before you close the palette up. There's a minimal amount of fallout below your eyes, though, but you might want to go over the under-eye area with a bit of finishing powder or powder foundation of concealer just to be sure.
Overall, this is a nice little kit with a variety of colors, and I'm glad I got it. It gives good value for the money, It's also made me want to try more of Laura's eyeshadow line.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Woofie Wonderful collection of shadows
I love this collection from Laura Geller. The colors are superior and cover everything from very light to dark and from matte to some irridescence. Like all her shadows, they go on smoothly and stay put for the entire day. I'm in love this with collection.

I love all of these colors. Yes they are not matte, but they do not have glitter either. The lighter colors make the lids light up as a glow, and they are all very rich in color, but not clownish. I had not used this eye spackle primer before, but it is great as would buy it on it own
I don't know why QVC allows bad reviews about shipping problems post as a product review. Those reviews do not reflect the great product and should not keep people from purchasing. When you buy online you have to expect occasional shipping issues, which is NOT really a product review.
I ordered another one for my daughter, both came in great condition and she loves it too.

I have been a Laura Gellar customer thru QVC for about 5 years. I recently ordered this special. I used it over the weekend. This was the first time I used the eye spackle and eye shadow. I hesitated making this purchase because I only wear makeup on weekends or special occasions. I am thrilled with this purchase!!!! I love all of it! Hope you will too:)

I was really excited to get this b/c of all the colors offered. But they are just to sparkly for me.... I would prefer the colors to be matte colors.... Sorry But I will need to return this.

I have always loved Laura Gellers products, however when this arrived the palette was all broken and colors ALL ruined. Yes I could send it back however for me it's costly and hard for me to get to post office. It had to be this way before shipment because it was packaged well. I was disappointed to say the least and waste of money for me. QVC needs to do better job on quality control. If they wanted to be kind they could just replace it but I know they want the damaged goods returned. Not happy!
