Laura Geller CC Cream Compact w/ SPF 25
I love this foundation but instead of sponge in compact I want more foundation for price value. I still gave it 5 stars because product is great. Price is just a little high for amount of product we get.
I guess this is a good product. I liked how I saw it presented on QVC and I'm hoping it looks as good on me. It feels good going on and it has a nice smell, like the breath of the sea. I still use a loose powder over it, just a little because I need a good cover. Seems to wash off nicely at the end of the day.
Like the way this product goes on so smooth and the color combo is a great match for my skin tone.
Excellent coverage and so easy to use. Looks very natural and beautiful.
Go Darker, or You'll Look Like a Zombie
I don't like the appearance of having a bunch of foundation on my face. I've tried numerous powder foundations, and found they look great until you get out into the sunlight. Then, you look like you're wearing a mask. They are obviously meant for those on TV, and not real life.
So . . . I thought this product would bridge the gap between 'no foundation' and 'the mask.' I didn't have a reason to use it until today, after purchasing it some time ago. That is unfortunate.
I'm not sure what the 'swoosh' is for. It's not light enough or large enough to use as a highligher, so why not just blend that color into the foundation? If we run the sponge across the compact, that is what it does anyway. Maybe it just makes it look pretty.
The 'medium' color is waaaaaaaaaaay too light. Did I mention it was TOO LIGHT?? I was shocked by how ghostly I looked after putting on the cream. I don't use self-tanner on my face, and I don't spend a lot of time in the sun. Truth be told my face is probably a little on the 'light-ish' side, and I use foundation to give it more color.
I like the consistency of the product. I like how it is applied, although I didn't see that it evened out my skin tone. But, maybe that's what the ghost-thing was all about.
I wish I would have used this sooner, so that I could have exchanged it for a darker shade. Maybe I would have liked it better, and had a bunch of good things to say.
Right now, my advice is to wait until Laura reads the reviews and improves the product before you buy..
Very light coverage
I was hoping for more coverage. Unfortunately, I will be returning this product. Sorry, Laura. I will be trying another of your products soon. If you are looking for light coverage, this is a good product. It's just not for me. I did like the creamy texture and I really enjoy watching Laura Geller on QVC. :) I love her personality!
I'm Going to be Very Unpopular, I Think.
I have been sitting here wondering what people are talking about when they complain about their skincare purchases, and state that their makeup products are rolling up, pilling up and falling off their faces. Have you read those? I could not relate. Well, this is the first Geller face product I've purchased, and after I put it on over my QVC face creams, at first it went on nice and smooth, and the color was good for my skin...... but after I would rub my finger across my skin a second time, all the CC cream rolled up, pilled up and crumbled on my face. Needless to say, my QVC face creams are all perfect and wonderful for me. This product is going back. And I really needed a good SPF. As soon as this happened, I ordered the Dr. Perricone SPF 30 from the Q. If you are young and use no face creams, go for this, it's nice. But I cannot imagine that it works on other high quality face creams. Sad, because I love Laura's eyebrow powders and creams. I purchased this because I wanted a high end SPF to go with all my new Q facial care..... I had used dime store products and mainstream dept. store products most of my life and recently felt like my skin and my life is worth using the good Q stuff.....so, Q, please bring out more SPF items for us!
Simply The Best
I have used many BB and CC creams but his item beats all. I did not need to use any extra products such as concealer etc. this formula covered all flaws. Laura's CC cream and blush (from last TSV) make my un-flawless skin look magically flawless. Great job Laura you are the best.
I ordered this because I love the idea of cc cream in a compact instead of a tube. Less waist with this handy compact. I have a lot of red in my face and have tried many products to cover it, but I hate the feel of make-up on my face. I love mineral make-up, so I used this on my red areas and put my bare minerals over it. My face looked natural and the redness was minimized. Nice feel to this product and my face didn't itch. Thanks Laura!
On the Fence nice light coverage
I got this CC cream in Tan after watching a Laura Geller show because the model Brenda was wearing this shade, I have the same skin tone. I find this cream to give a very light coverage ( I found that using my foundation first then applying the cc cream gives me more of a natural no make up look). I wish this came a shade darker but as stated above I like that it gives you a no make up look! Only reason I gave this 4 stars is because the sponge has a very strong odor.
I have recently gotten quite a bit of Laura Gellar and have loved my last 2 purchases but this one smells funny and I will probably be returning it.
Excellent, My Favorite!
This is by far one of the best foundation products I have used. I am 58, with excellent skin, no deep wrinkles-(due to my use of Dr Denese & Philosophy, good genes)- and very few small wrinkles, but it does not settle into the ones I do have around my mouth. This leaves a beautiful smooth, matte finish to my skin that I have not been able to achieve with powders. I live in Central Florida, and usually only apply my face creams and an SPF before going out in the heat and humidity because most make ups end up beading up and looking horrible. This has the SPF, looks like my own skin but absolutely perfect. I bought the Medium, since it matched perfectly in Laura's Balance & Brighten, and this is even a better match-blends right in.
Please don't ever stop making this foundation!
