10 Times more incredible, in person!
I live in New York City and walk everywhere, so even a great pair of boots will start to look a little wonky after about a year. I needed to replace a very durable, yet elegant, pair of ankle boots, and was about to invest in a pair of Frye boots, when these popped onto my radar. The photo of these boots does not do them justice!!!! The shape of the toe is slightly more rounded than the picture, and the color is much more of a light, honey-brown. The leather is buttery and I can tell already that the more I wear them, the more interesting the texture and color will become. The stitching detail on the shaft is a golden-cream, and it's much more special than I imagined. The stitching on the vamp is dark brown, and it's subtle, but still something special if you're wearing these under jeans. It's the detailing that truly makes these already-beautiful boots a piece of art. Because I'll walk miles and miles in these, I'll be covering the gorgeous, stitched sole with a rubber one, and they run a little big (I've got a very narrow heel), so I'll throw in some insoles. All-in-all, I'm pretty sure these will wear just about as well as Frye, and they were more than half the price of short Frye boots. YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY, IF YOU GET THESE BOOTS!!!!
