La-Z-Boy Grand Sueded Micro Denier Rocker Recliner w/ Memory Foam
My second Lazy Boy....my first Lazy Boy rocker recliner I used to rock my own babies and this one will be used to rock my first grand baby. Beautiful color red. Very comfortable. Easy assembly. Love, love, love it!
This chair is nothing like it appears on TV. It is smaller than it appeared and the lever to raise the foot rest is sticking and makes a loud noise when it is released. I would send it back but I had to hire someone to set it up for me and now have nobody to help disassemble to return. The shipping charge would also be more than I paid to have it shipped to me.
Best La-Z-Boy yet!!
It stresses me to see negative reviews on this chair. I had a serious accident ten years agoand have had to sleep in my La-Z-Boy every night since then. It is beginning to wear out, but I am still using it. The new chair is actually for my living room. It is replacing a recliner that was very pretty, not a La-Z-Boy, and was totally uncomfortable after 5 minutes. The new chair came and after unpacking it and slipping the back onto the base, I sat down. Two hours later, I woke up! It was instantly so comfortable that I actually fell asleep. I sure hope that I can purchase another one just like it in a couple of months to replace the La-Z-Boy that I have slept on for the past 10 years! (I need to pay off a couple other items that I have on Easy Pay before I can purchase a second one!! I really recommend this chair. I am short - 5' 2" and heavy - 181 pounds. However, my cat and I can sit together very easily. By the way - my cat loves the new chair, too!
not what expected
Chair is nice but very unhappy with color! Grey, no way! Also have a hard time adjusting chair to reclining position. Not my best purchase but to expensive to return. Also UPS dropped it outside, never rang the bell or knocked. Had to find someone to bring it into the house for me.
The easy pay option, the great value, and the ease to put together all make this a great purchase! This replaces an older La-Z-Boy chair that my husband has used every day! It is for his birthday which is in August, so I said it is an early birthday present--you can't hide a box that big! The old La-Z-Boy has a lifetime warranty, but it would be hard to get it in our car (impossible, probably!) to take it back to the store! He needs a good chair to sit in and it needs to be comfortable. This one fits the bill!
La-Z Boy Chair
I ordered one . I it was a disappointment. BUT This rocker recliner is great.. I was about to think that the La Z Boy company had changed ( for the worst ) but this chair is just right...
Thank you Q V C for having changed it for me..Love Q. V. C. TOO much....Have been a customer for YEARS and have been owing them for much nice stuff in my house...
Love you, Q. V. C.,
The way Rick described it the night I bought chair he said the seat was big enough to put 2 in it. Not true, I weigh 135# and just fit in it! In order to raise the foot rest it would not go all the way and was stuck there. In all, the chair was damaged.....Going back tomorrow J
Buy with caution
This is not golden brown color, it is mouse brown. Very dull drab which takes away from the nicer qualities of chair. That being said it is a nice comfortable chair, smaller than expected. Easy pay is helpfull so if color dosnt matter? Buy.
Bad chair - I swear!
Picture it...you just got home from work. Your back aches from being in the car swearing under your breath at the stupid idiot who cut you off 1 exit before yours. You've had a rough day at your office, and all you want to do is run through the door and get into your lazy boy for just a few minutes. Got that picture? Ok. Now, check this out...you watch the presentation for this chair and believe that the chair will find your size and your mate's size no matter how tall or short they are. You watch and it looks like it does. The rep from the company is 5' 3" tall. The presenter is 5' 6" tall (it appears). So these two do definitely fit the chair and that fact didn't occur to me at the time) I'm 5'8"...so I thought it would work for me. But the claim that a person 5' 3" tall and someone 6' 3" will each fit in the chair exactly the same way and that each person's ankles will be supported in the same spot is false!
I fell for the hype and I was so disappointed after I got it, assembled it (which was very easy and probably the only thing that was true about this chair). I sat in it and instantly realized that the chair was cut so small that it actually squeezed me to pieces. Then I watched the video again. The presenters were skinny people and so of course they fit...their claim was that it was a roomy chair. I do not weight 800 pounds and a normal size chair is a good fit. My current (old 18 year old chair fits me just the way it's supposed to). Then I felt the huge puffy back of the chair, which was so stiff, I couldn't relax. I thought in a while it would give and it would make me feel more comfortable. I tried the chair a few times a day and even tried it for an entire day...it never conformed.
The other thing I discovered about the chair is that it did not lock in three positions as stated. It kept springing back. It did lock when I sat back and pulled the handle (a normal thing of course). But when I attempted to put it in other positions, it failed. Still, I gave it the benefit of the doubt, thinking..."I must be doing something wrong". Not true. It simply didn't work.
But the major thing that convinced me that this was not the chair for me is the foot rest. My feet hung off the edge and that caused me circulation problems. My feet were numb after sitting in it with the bottom up. I tried every way I could to make them stop hanging off the edge by re-positioning myself. It did not work. So after several tries to make the chair mine, I had to give in and realize that it was not meant to be. It was such a disappointment because I really needed a replacement chair and I was looking forward to getting a nice comfortable seat that I could enjoy. The only good things about this deal is: 1) It was easy to return; and, 2) I didn't toss my old chair. In fact, I'm going to go sit in it right now.
I really like QVC and 99% of everything I've ever gotten from them have been perfect. But they missed the mark on this one...it's the 1% of items that just didn't do it for me. I got my money back immediately. So now, I can go get a nice chair that truly fits. But you can believe I will not toss my current chair until I try it out for at least a week.
Good luck. I hope this helps!!
P. S. I gave it 2 stars only because it was easy to return (save your box and packing material please) and because I got my refund quickly!
Very NIce Chair
We ordered this chair for me and when it came I found it to be a touch small, but let me say that I am 6'3", 280 and I have always been told that I am a very big guy. So, this became my wife's chair and she really enjoys it. It is comfortable and more than large enough for my wife and our two small dogs, and our daughter's two small dogs.
This is a great chair at a great price!!!
The chair was easy to assemble but it is short and too small. I am 5' 4 and I don't feel very comfortable sitting in it. My dogs like to sit with me and they can't they are small dogs.
The chair arrived in decent time and, aside from a while fiddling with getting the back in correctly it's seems ok so far. I have to chuckle at a number of comments with purchasers complaining that it's "too small" - from what I can see, it's the standard size most recliners have been for years. Price-wise, QVC was a better deal that most La-Z-Boy outlets and the construction and fabric seems fairly normal. Any decent recliner is going to be very costly in this day and age, so I'm hoping this items will last even half as long as some of the recliners in our family over the years.
