It is like a mirror coated in carnivalware glass color. A pastel rainbow. If I'd ever see a mirror this bright and clear,I'd buy it. The chain is why I gave four stars. This necklace is heavy. I am young middle-aged,and strong: Yet,I can' t see myself wearing this all day. I can feel the effect upon the disks and vertebrae in the back of my neck. More thought should've gone into the setting. I shall try wearing it over a collar: Which cuts-out wearing it on a hot summer day, sans AC. The black flaking issue posted in a review: When I opened the package,in the white tissue wrap, there were a few black flakes. I took the tissue and rubbed the necklace to remove loose paint. I haven't had black flakes on my skin. I love how the clasp lets me change the length. To sum it up: One of the most gorgeous necklaces me and my husband have ever seen. With a heavy steel, black painted chain and setting. Wish Lori would've gone with a lighter weight metal,as the sets are just coated glass. Hope this helps.

This is so pretty in person. I tried it on immediately with my very casual outfit — a dark denim vest over a longer-length bright-blue tee and black knit pants w/black boots. It fit perfectly under the vest and really worked with everything (I assumed it would be too dressy, but it was great w/a super casual look). The crystals are sparkly, and the prism effect gives off so many colors that will complement many tops. I love that black metal was used, too, because it makes the piece more versatile. Those are the pros. The first con is that the shiny black coating on the metal sheds black flakes every time I handle the necklace. They get on your clothes/skin and of course any surface you set the necklace on. Maybe the flaking will stop, but I don't know yet. I don't yet see discoloration (as in lighter spots or chinks on the chain), but it's too soon to tell. Another issue is that the smaller crystal settings turn over on themselves both when handling and wearing the necklace, and when it happens, it's difficult to put them back in place because the tiny chain links get caught up on each other. Which leads to the third problem: the price tag relative to the craftsmanship. That really is a disappointment and something I'd expect to find for something priced far less. I'm planning to wear it for a full day this week before deciding whether to keep it. I can recommend trying it for the beauty and the possibility that I just got a defective one, as long as you're OK with risking the S&H. But the quality issues mean I can't give any kind of enthusiastic recommendation. I think the purchase is a risk.

I received this statement necklace and it is very sparkly and will go with everything. I will wear it dressy and casual. It is really pretty. Thanks Lori! Please bring some bracelets and earrings to your jewelry line.
