best phone Great phone,I have had tracfone for 4 years. This is the best one,had no problems setting up and transfering my old minutes which was 1500. and iam good until 11/30/14. Great coverage we go on trips and never wory about coverage. 11-18-13
Glad I tried this phone! I was ready to be disappointed by this phone due to all of the bad reviews based on the difficulty of getting it set up. I changed over from another carrier, keeping my same phone number. I did it all online, it took about 24 hrs. before I had service on this phone. No problem getting my minutes, either. It was not difficult but I did follow directions carefully. Based on my needs I would give this phone 5 stars--you might be disappointed if this will be your only camera. You can do a lot with this phone, however I am not glued to my phone, I do not use it to play games, etc. so I cannot vouch for it for these uses but have used it to check e-mail and downloaded a few apps. I wanted to try Tracfone because they have more coverage (previous carrier had no service in Mich. upper peninsula) and I am glad I tried it. 11-17-13
not for me This was my first cell phone. I have been contemplating this purchase looking for a phone that I could afford that would give me the things that I needed. After listening to many presentations of this TSV, I believed what was said and bought this phone. Kinda disappointed in the product. This phone is not easy to use, very hard to use the keyboard, could not do many of the things that were stated. Called Tracfone and I was lucky....I got a very nice person who tried to help me. I guess that this was just not meant to be. 11-16-13
Awful This is the worst phone I have ever had in my life. The only thing I can say good about it is the GPS works. That is one reason I purchased it. The keyboard is way too small and I am constantly going back to correct wrong input. If, I could understand the customer service people at Tracphone it wouuld be nice. I am sending this back pronto. 11-15-13
pleased with the phone This phone was just what i wanted. I wanted a smart phone, but didn't want to pay a huge monthly data plan bill. I just wanted to be able to do a few more things that my "stupid" phone couldn't with the apps and such. My phone number from another company switched over in about 30 minutes. Set up was extremely easy, did mine online. Tracfone has the user guide and tutorials for the phone on their website. Also, found some answers on qvc's community page. I would definitely try it. 11-14-13
Good Phone for the Price Been using this phone for about 2 weeks. Its not bad! I mean its not an iPhone or one of the higher end Androids but then it doesn't cost what they do either. Yes it does have limited memory but you can transfer a lot of apps to internal memory. I ported my number over from V - took about two days. Tracfone did have to call me about the pin for my number (it turned out to be the last 4 of my number). But after that everything went smooth. Voice mail setup was a little difficult but I called from the phone and it setup ok. I had to use some minutes to do that but only for that first setup. All in all its a nice little phone! 11-14-13
Love TracFone I purchased this phone for my granddaughter. She loves it, I love it, everyone is happy. I am technologically challenged so I do not use anything but a "dumb"phone, but she uses the internet for email, facebook, etc. She was tickled to death to get this phone. Yes, we had a snag when we went to activate, but I simply got QVC customer service on the house phone, and the nice gentleman talked us through the entire process. He gave us the activation code, told us which buttons to push, VOILA! phone activated in less than a minute or so. She even installed the memory card from her previous phone and instantly, all the information, phone no.s, etc., from her old phone were installed on the new one. If I were any happier, I'd be twins! I love the 'no contract' with TracFone. I do not like contracts, and most wireless phone companies charge too much, give poor service, not enough bars in most places and don't work most of the time. I am not paying 400.00 for something I cannot use. This phone, at 109.00 is more than a bargain. She can add minutes when she likes for as much or little as she likes, and on a young adult's budget. Thank you QVC for offering this phone. It made a great 'early' Christmas gift that won't end up in a drawer. 11-13-13
Fair Customer Service This is the first time I tried a Tracfone. The phone itself is OK. You can use a stylus if your fingers are a little large. I purchased two of these phones. The problem I encountered was transferring my existing phone number. I called to transfer my husbands phone and had no problems. Then I tried to transfer my phone number an encounter numerous problems. I called three times explaining that the phone number was not transferring. They went through the whole procedure again and again. Well at one point a new number was issued to my phone instead of transferring the old number. Tracfone wanted me to purchase additional minutes since my pin number was used previously to transfer my number. I told them no since I just purchased this phone and it wasn't my problem that the process was not completed properly. I did have all my account information ready. Tracfone transferred me to another person after I said I was going to send the phone back to QVC. They transferred my phone number within two hours. I spent longer than that on the phone trying to get this problem solved. Well now I have the phone working. I am really unhappy with the service. I am wondering how the process will be when I want to add minutes. I might end up sending the phone back yet. Thank goodness QVC will give you until January 31, 2014 to return products. 11-13-13
surprised me I wanted a phone that would enable me to check my e-mail. I've had several TracFones before and they work fine in my area but were not easy to set up. This one was. It is also very easy for checking my e-mail. The only problem I have is that the phone does not display how many minutes or days I have left, but I knew this going in. This phone works fine for me. I do wish it were larger as it is not so easy to type in numbers and e-mail addresses, but no worse than my old phone. When I find out how many minutes checking e-mail uses, I may change my tune, but right now, I'd recommend this phone as a good little phone for the money. 11-13-13
Switching over NIGHTMARE!!! This phone is about to go back to QVC! It has been a nightmare to try & switch over from another carrier to this tracfone. It's s NOT as easy as what they made it sound on the Todays Special Value!! I have been disconnected twice from tracfone and had to start all over to even get to a human being on the phone.... finally when I got a human on the phone who did not speak english, I was on the phone for almost an hour with her. She took an hours worth of info. & said it was ready and should take a few hours to port. Well.........it's been days and my old phone still works and the new one has not switched over. Tracfone lady also told me that my airtime pin that came with 600 mins, text, data was invalid! 11-13-13
Nice Phone BUT This is a nice little phone , I've always wanted an Android phone so I could sync with my desktop and laptop, this does that with your google account. It connects to Wi Fi automatically once you set it up which saves you minutes in an internet area. My main "con" about this phone is that if you are a Senior Citizen {like me} and have arthritis in your hands it is VERY difficult to answer an incoming call because you are required to 'swipe" from left to right. For me personally this is very difficult to do. If you do a lot of texting this can be difficult if your fingers are on the large size because the qwerty keyboard is small. I contacted LG directly to inquire if there was anyway to change the answering method, I was told no. So I have just spent 100 dollars on a phone which I cant use. Go figure. This phone runs on Verizon towers which is a plus. If u can live with the small screen its a good entry phone. 11-12-13
