LG Mouse Photo, Document Scanner with Optical Text Recognition
IT WAS A GIFT TO A GRANDCHILD
I was told that this did not scan fully and while the idea was nice, she just did not care for the mouse scanner.
2 and a half stars
Overall so so. Not a replacement for a full scanner. Even the pan digital hand held scanner is better. If you want or need really sharp images, stick to a full scanner.
I was looking forward to getting this mouse. I have lots of items I'd love to scan into my computer without having to get out my larger bar scanner. UNFORTUNATELY, I found that the mouse is too large for my hand. It’s uncomfortable to handle and the buttons (on the left side) are activated with the slightest touch….! This is VERY ANNOYING….!!!!! I am sending it back and will wait to see if they come up with a smaller unit. I will also be waiting for a wireless version as the cord really messes up the scan as you can’t make it flow evenly over the item being scanned. THERE IS ALSO A POP-UP THAT COME UP ALL THE TIME THAT YOU CAN'T GET RID OF!!!!!! Waste of money!
This easy to install and a breeze to use. It works great
Not worth the effort
just three words sending it back! Not worth the effort.
It's a great idea but...
I was so very excited about this product when I first saw it on QVC. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment and that may very well have been my fault too. I mostly wanted to be able to use it for work to scan multiple page documents into one file. This is not capable of doing that. I did scan a couple of photos and a recipe which worked great and as shown on TV, however ultimately I sent it back. I just didn't see me using it enough to pay what I did for it.
Very disappointed! Difficult to control regardless of how careful you are. HP offers NO support for this item, and was not familiar with the product I was talking about. You have to be a experienced expert to use it properly.
This was very hard to work!!!!!! It was very frustrating to try to use.
Pop up to sell online storage
I was interested in the scanning mouse not in a popup that minimizes whatever I am going - especially in the middle of a big GW2 fight. The pop up has not got "don't show again" button or " not interested" button. Purhasers should be warned this mouse is really an online storage commercial.
Has Performed Well on Documents & Pictures
For the most part I have been scanning very old family photographs.
I give this 4 stars because of --
1. The short cord.
2. Having the mouse wireless would be awesome.
Although the cord does get in the way at times - I am now navigating around the cord without issue. There is a learning curve on scanning at the edges of a document or picture, but here again - I get better at this all the time.
My computer sits under my desk - so I have just enough length on the cord from the USB port to bring it to the top of my working desk area. A longer cord would have been better and allowed me to work more comfortably in a larger space on the desk. Wireless for this product would be the ideal scenario.
The program is easy to use and photos are easily e-mailed, enhanced or saved. The quality of scanned photos and documents has been very good. I had 2 Pandigital scannesr and both died on me within 30 days. I am hoping this LG Mouse has a long productive lifespan under my useage. I like it.
Nice ideal but doesn't work
Great mouse but the scanner part doesn't work. Sent it back. It was a waste of time and money.
I am a tech head and have a lot of high end gear and was sceptical about this. I travel all over the world I wanted something I could take on the road for when I needed to scan something quick. I didn't realize it would work as a regular mouse as well as a scanner. It is really easy to set up and use. It is also very easy to bring the scanned images into another application. It scans great quality as well for most applications. You can even change the hue, saturation and contrast of images. This exceeded my expectations. Love it!
