LOVE IT!!
I purchased this a few months ago, I use it every week and I love it. It is wonderful to just put this on the spaghetti pot and let the water come to a boil and then add the pasta and forget a bout it. Get one today before they are gone.

Absolutely the best answer to splashes!!!!!
This product...is the best answer to my problems with my stove. I have a very touchy, but phenominal stove from Electrolux. It is all electronic and the keypad is right on the stove top. If any drops of water get on that keypad....the stove shuts off and the breaker needs reset. Although I love the stove besides it's issues......the Kuhn Rikon Spill Stopper Silicone Pot Lid does not allow for any splashes whether I'm cooking spaghetti or any other item that may splash onto the keypad. (The largest burners are right in the front and it's hard to miss them!!!!) Anyway.....this item was the answer to my prayers other than lay hot pads over the keypad to absorb any splashes. Buy these because they are 180% great!

Works as advertised
My wife loves it, no more over boiling and cleanup on the stove. It also works great in the microwave.

Carefree Pasta Cooking!
My Kuhn Rikon Spillstopper allows allows me to boil pasta without constantly checking to see if the heat needs turned down or the pot removed from the burner to prevent boil-overs.

IT REALLY WORKS LIKE THEY SAY
I BOILED ORANGES AND CINNAMON STICKS ON THE STOVE FOR AN AIR FRESHNER AND IT NEVER BOILS OVER WITH THIS POT LID. BECAUSE I KNEW IT WOULDNT BOIL OVER I FORGOT I HAD IT ON THE STOVE AND WHEN THE WATER RAN OUT ON MY BREW I STARTED SMELLING SOMETHING LIKE BURNT TOAST. I COULDNT FIGURE WHAT THE SMELL WAS AND MY HUSBAND WENT OVER TO THE STOVE AND SAW IT WAS ON AND ALL THE WATER HAD BOILED OUT OF THE POT AND THE CINNAMON AND ORANGES WERE BURNING TO MY POT AND THE SILICONE LID WAS GETTING REALLY HOT. WE TOOK IT OFF THE STOVE AND RAN IT UNDER COLD WATER AND NOTHING HAPPENED TO IT..EVEN THE NON STICK PAN I BOUGHT FROM QVC WAS FINE. I JUST CLEANED THE CINNAMON AND ORANGES OUT OF THE PAN AND IT IS AS GOOD AS NEW. JUST BE CAREFUL AND DONT FORGET YOU HAVE SOMETHING ON THE STOVE BECAUSE THE WATER EVENTUALLY DOES RUN OUT.

Careful when you remove the lid
I wasn't sure if I reviewed this lid or not. I ordered one in late March and it seemed to work as advertised. I ordered 2 more recently for gifts. But, after using mine again, I decided to cancel my order. The reason was, when you have the pot boiling the lid works great - but you really need to turn off the heat and let the water and foam disappear before attempting to remove the lid. Otherwise, you end up with water and foam spilling over the lip of the pot and creating a mess.
With pasta, the instructions are to stir it halfway through cooking. So, that means you would need to turn off the heat, wait a minute or so, then remove the lid and stir. Then start the process over again. Not sure the benefit of this design, outweighs this amount of trouble. Maybe I failed to read the instructions properly?

BEWARE ELECTRIC GLASSTOP STOVE OWNERS!
I bought this thinking it would be a pleasure. However, if you have an electric glasstop stove with the assigned small burners in the back, IT DOESN'T WORK. The back of the stove will not allow it to lay flat, and I cannot use the front burners for small pots. It spilled all over the stove.
So, if you have a free-standing stove like Mark Charles cooks on you're okay.
I was just disappointed.

Great product--so versatile!
Bought two of these--one for my mom and one for me. My mother loves hers but I hadn't used mine yet. I was cooking egg noodles the other night and she was there and asked why I wasn't using this. Duh! I got it out, sat it on the pot, and no sooner than I turned away, it boiled over, and worked just like they said. It boiled onto the lid but not the stove. Then I used it a few times as a cover in the microwave Don't hesitate to buy this.

great for reheating in the microwave
I am very pleased with this item. I grab it whenever I want to reheat a plate of food in the microwave. It works great! Much better than using plastic wrap, and will pay for itself in no time.
