Rated 1 out of 5 by from Coating chipped off, ended in my dough Came to this page to buy a replacement hook, but was surprised by the reviews, since it looks like we all are having the same problem. After 2 years of use, while the Kithenaid is performing flawlessly, the dough hook is chipped and losing paint. I found out after I bit into a relatively large piece in my pasta. Not fun, and likely not something you want to eat or serve to guests. Attachments shouldn't be disposable items, and should be designed to last as long as the mixer. I find it incredible that a stainless steel version can't be made, even if at a premium price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dough hook leaves significant black/grey residue on dough This dough hook leaves an awful grey residue on all of my doughs. I have wasted so much money on ruined dough due to this problem. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Has this product been fixed yet? The coating chips on this, but the uncoated one leaves a residue in dough. Please let me know how I can find a dough hook for the KSM155 mixer that won't ruin my baking! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Chipped coating falling into my dough. I am over it and have thrown it out. I have just spent an hour shopping online for a STAINLESS STEEL version of this dough hook for my Artisan KSM150 mixer and absolutely cannot believe it does not exist. Or does it, and I just cannot find it? I do not want an aluminum version due to the terrible reviews. Stainless steel. Willing to pay more for it. Customer service: I am disappointed to read previous reviews and see the same customer service cookie-cutter response. Please get rid of the impersonal copy and paste. It shows a lack of concern and indicates poor department training. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mine Too Looks my dough hook is the same as everyone else's, as the coated finish has begun flaking off. I am in agreement that a non-coated version would be the way to go. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Chipped again Another chipped dough hook ruins a batch. I was getting the dough off with a silicon spatula and heard it hit the bowl and then saw it. This was the second time this has happened. There should be a recall. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from same old story So I came to this site to find replacement parts for my kitchen aid. The hook s chipped off at the bottom like everyone else is. Shame, maybe you should stop coating this. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Chipped dough hook is terrible Enamal chips in my dough. Is there a stainless hook available? Terrible design for a product used for food preparation. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
