Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great ! I have been looking for a gelato machine for awhile and they are so expensive to make just one thing....now I am so glad that I held out for this attachment. I just made one of the gelato mixes that came with the bowl and it is rich in taste and creamy and made my whole family extremely happy! Now I just wish that QVC carried the Franzese mixes !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love KitchenAid did it again. This attachment works well (although figuring out how to attach it was a learning curve) and it makes great ice cream very quickly. And the gelato mixes are delicious.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very old KitchenAid I have a 1974 lift bowl model of the KitchenAid stand mixer. It has a screw that the round part of the head stands proud of the bar that the beaters attach to. This screw head keeps the attachment that holds the dasher from going on securely. I tried the attachment on a newer lift bowl model that doesn't have the screw head and it is tough to push on, but does push on. I contacted KitchenAid support and all I was told was to be sure I had the correct side of the attachment facing the bar and told all accessories work with all KitchenAids. I am hoping that the attachment will be able to secure enough and the pressure of the bowl against the attached dasher will work. I am keeping the ice cream maker because if I have the same problem when actually using the item, I will just have to use the other model I was able to test on instead of my 1974 model. Support wasn't much of a support!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kitchen Aid Ice Cream Maker What an awesome attachment to have with your Kitchen Aid Mixer. We tried it out the same day we got it. It came with 2 samples of Gelato mix. It was Awesome! Can't wait to try homemade ice cream, sorbet and sherbet. It is so easy and you don't need to mess with rock salt or some other type of ice cream maker that is tiny. This makes 2 qts of ice cream, that's half a gallon. We were very impressed with the size of it. It seems very durable and very well made. Highly recommend this to anyone that has a Kitchen Aid and the price was right!
