Clunky I can't believe this is KitchenAid! Not at all like the food chopper I grew up with. I want that chopper from my childhood that had a glass jar and a simple up and down mechinism. Even I as a small child would sit and chop the nuts for my momma's recepies! Where is that chopper? I want it. 08-28-12
POORLY MADE PRODUCT!!! this is the worst kitchen aid product... It does not stay together and like a lot of other review's it does not chop onion's or other food's very well...ended up chopping them myself...They definately need to go back to the drawing board on this one.... 05-25-12
Disappointed This is a poor food chopper, I had no luck in chopping anything. In the process of use, it maintained becoming jammed due to the most smallest of food slice. I would return it but the idea of having a return label fee deducted from my refund isn't worth it, just as this product wasn't worth being bought or being titled a food chopper. 05-21-12
VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! I like many others purchased this product based on the KitchenAid name. Never had any problems with the brand up until the time I purchased this. It literally won't chop anything! I've tried using it several times, finally gave up and all it does is sit in my cabinet. They really need to retry this. 04-28-12
Very Disappointed Have always liked anything "Kitchenaid". However, this is not worth the cost, s&h, even on clearance. I thought it would be a great quick go to chopper...not good at all..should have paid attention to the other reviews and not bought it...If I can find the return ticket it is going back... 04-27-12
AWESOME!! I purchased this because i needed a small chopper to use for quick things in the kitchen. I use it all the time for everything! it makes making summer salads so easy by cutting down prep time of the veggies. I use it to make egg salad for one on the days i am home by my self and I can't wait to use it for the holiday bread baking when it comes to prepping the nuts for the recipes. It is easy to use and clean and a great addition to the kitchen. 04-27-12
It's Fine Reading a lot of confused, whining reviews, but honestly not getting it. Item works as promised and demonstrated. Cleans easily, not flimsy, and comes apart for cleaning. Color is beautiful(blue) and matches my mixer, and clear plastic sleeve has a lid for each end for creating a small storage container for your chopped items. It is durable and well-made, blades are sharp, and it is fast. I removed one star because, as some people mentioned, it does snag every once in a while, but I just takes a second to let it snap back into place(on springs) and it's good to go. Of course it's small, it's for hand chopping and doing small doses of nuts, veggies, etc. Every press chopper on the market is the same size. Why did that surprise anyone? My favorite use is for onions, and I slice a whole bag of onions into halves or quarters, and then just place this over each piece and get finely chopped onions, then move it over and do the next piece and so on, and have many onions finely chopped in seconds. 04-25-12
Kitchen Aid Goofed on This Product Returned item -- did not work. Kitchen Aid should improve on this item. 04-18-12
Disappointed I was very disappointed with this product. I also purchased it due to the name of KitchenAid. The blades get stuck and do not move. I had to keep taking it apart and putting it back together to get it to chop. It does not chop even the easiest of food such as pickles and onions. Very Disappointed with this product. I was going to return the product until I realized there is a $6.95 charge to do so. This will now be somethig that sits in a drawer and is never used and eventually goes to Goodwill. 04-16-12
Poor Chopper! I bought this chopper because of the kitchen aid name and the fact that I have dexterity problems using knife with smaller stuff. What a disappointment this has turned out to be! Pros: easy to clean, and you have the option to chop on a counter or in the cup. Cons: small capacity. If you try to chop a half or a quarter of an onion, it does not chop all the way through due to the fact that the fact that I believe the blades are dull. Even if it does go through the onion large pieces are left of the onion. One reviewer stated that the blades are dull so I may try sharpening them and see what happens. This chopper is a big disappointment to me. I thought with a brand name like KitchenAid it would be better. I am not sending this back for the simple reason of the price of this chopper versus shipping is not worth it. It would be nice if QVC offered free returns because I think they're shipping on some of their items is very high. It may chop things like pickles, olives, strawberries, hard-boiled eggs and maybe even nuts or something without heavy skins (like onions). 04-13-12
Dull Blades I bought this chopper years ago and the blades have never been very sharp, It does not chop up veggies as advertised. Due to the shape of the blades it would be very difficult to sharpen the blades. The chopper also does not stay together very well and is not the easiest to clean. It has just been sitting, collecting dust in my kitchen cabinets. Sorry KitchenAid...this is the first time I have not been happy with one of your products. 03-29-12
GREAT QUICK CHOPPER The yellow is a great light mustard yellow, I have used several times for chopping vegetables. The trick is not to overload it. Works great on a cutting board if you don't want to use the clear attachment. Easy to take apart to clean and self explanitory on how to put it back together. For small quick chop jobs it beats pulling out a larger plug in appliance. The price was great too. 03-17-12
