Rated 1 out of 5 by from What happened? I had my first KitchenAid mixer for a couple decades and many military moves before it gave up the ghost in Europe. I was lured away by another brand and recently returned to KitchenAid, a Professional 6 quart. I was surprised at the change in the attachments. They are so lightweight compared to the previous ones I owned. Like others, the main issue is the oxidizing, even when hand washed. Now I have to scrub it each time before I use it. I sure the change has saved money but I would gladly pay more for a more hardy, non oxidizing attachment. I would still recommend a KitchenAid...I bought them for both of my daughters but I would warn them of the attachment issues.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beater turned vanilla icing grey I was so excited to use my new mixer, but wish I would have have known that the accessories that came with it were going begin to discolor my food. The first time I made icing, it turned grey and I was shocked. After this happened I did a little research online, it appears I am not the first one to question what happened. Why have these accessories not been changed? With the amount of money spent on this powerful machine, I wish the accessories were equal in quality. Im just super disappointed I am going to have to spend more money to remedy this... especially if I want to continue to use it like it should be used.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Love the mixer, hate the flat beater I bought mixer about 8 months ago. Love the mixer, hate flat beater. It has a film that continues to come off. It is like a metal finish.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from QUESTION to KITCHEN AID... My question is directly to KitchenAid... Clearly the problem with the flat beater is a quality control /workmanship issue. What are you doing about it? A "refund" does NOT fix the problem. YOU NEED TO MANUFACTURE QUALITY BEATERS then provide mixer owners with a REPLACEMENT at no charge...(like a recall, if you will). Because as of now, our investment in a Kitchen Aid stand mixer is worthless. We can't use a mixer without a functioning beater! Do something.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love the mixer, not the attachments! I have had kitchenaid appliances for many years. Everything from my stove to kettle is kitchenaid. I fortunately haven’t had good luck with stand mixer. The mixer is great but the padel attachment is not. I had one that had white coating and after few months the paint started to chip so I had to buy a new one and this time I bought a professional 600 mixer that came with metal attachment and unfortunately that is now black and oxidized and don’t feel comfortable using it! Didn’t except this from kitchenaid!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great mixer . Poor quality attachments I received my mixer as a gift . I love the performance of the mixer . However after two washes the paddle oxidized and I have not been able to use my mixer. I have had to just go back to my handheld mixer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cannot use anymore as others state, the finish oxidized and now cannot be used. I absolutely love this mixer and was so excited when I finally purchased it. Very disappointed with the oxidation of the flat and the whisk beaters.
