Rated 5 out of 5 by from FITS MY 28 YEAR OLD KITCHENAID! SO HAPPY I've owned my KitchenAid mixer for 28 years and it works as good as the day I received it! My flat beater had lost a small portion of it's coating on the very tip that hits the bottom of the bowl a year ago and I kept forgetting to try and find a new one. When you had the kitchenaid on your tsv, you advertised this replacement beater and the gal said it would fit any KitchenAid mixer ever made, so I thought, okay, I'll try it, IT DOES AND I AM SO HAPPY!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from How about some chipped paint with those cookies? I love my KitchenAid mixer. I got it as a present from my husband and honestly, it has been wonderful with the exception of the paddle. It has chipped paint at the top and the bottom rendering it useless. I am really frustrated by it since the machine itself cost a small fortune. I should not have to replace the part!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Chipped off paint is hard to chew but has no real taste Yikes!! Third replacement paddle beater all because of chipping paint. We could put a man on the moon surely Kitchenaid can keep the paint on the paddle and not in my food! Come on Kitchenaid, fix it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Chipping paint The paint has been chipping for a while, but now it is chipping more and more. I've had it fall in my batter! It looks like others on here have replaced theirs several times and had the same problems. Such an expensive product should have quality parts!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Coated beater chipping off in food I have had my Kitchen Aide mixer for a number of years and love everything about it EXCEPT the coated beater. I have replaced the beater twice, only hand wash it, and STILL the coating comes off and gets into the food. My brother found some in his mashed potatoes at a holiday gathering! It is difficult to find a replacement beater, as all of the ones in the stores are designed for newer model mixers. Please advise on how to remedy this problem.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Painted beater I love my kitchen aid mixer but the problem with the painted beater is on going. I have replaced it twice and now i have to replace it again. The paint chipping off needs to be addressed by Kitchen Aid for this mixer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pat We bought our Kitchenaid a few years ago, love everything about it, but the flat beater paint is chipped off and the wires for the whisk are broken and it can't be used now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from mine didn't chip until.. try adjusting the beater's height? I've used my coated flat beater, literally, for 36 years before it chipped. That's 36 years of constant use, several times a week, efficiently scraping the lower curves of the bowl. However, I've recently moved from San Diego to Oregon, and when I put by mixer back together, I didn't realize the height or tilt adjustment was off.. it was hitting the bottom. Eventually did chip. So, for those of you concerned about purchasing this attachment due to the other reviews.. perhaps double-checking the beater height (i.e., the mixer head tilt adjustment) before first use would preclude the chipping issue.
