Not like the KitchenAid electrics
Nice knife set but does not hold an edge very long. Nor does it sharpen well.
I own a lot of KitchenAid items and love love love them. These pieces are not up to the KitchenAid standards I am use to. I am surprised the quality is not what I expected, and will keep them, but the are not my go to knives for paring.

I have many knives and ever since I purchased these I go for them over my old favorites; the handles are smooth and easy to hold; great purchase!

Handle is no longer red!
I really wanted to like these knives because I am loyal to the KitchenAid brand but...the red finish on the paring knife has completely flaked off. I actually have to check my food after using the knife to be sure it's not gotten in my dish. The santoku knife seems to be holding up a little better. Both knives need to be sharpened before each use. Not my best purchase from the Q.

disappointing
Bought these for a gift and am glad I checked them out before wrapping. The red enamel was already flaking at the seams, and the blade on the santoku knife had scratches. Also, the balance is not great because the handles are too light; they must be hollow. Feel pretty cheap, and I am going to be returning them.

Not Very Sharp
Was not impressed with these knives, Not only were they dull but the blade was very flimsy and not very stable.

Love these knives, but...
Love these knives - feel good in your hand & seem to stay sharp - BUT - the enamel on the paring knife handle has begun to flake off. Also, thelarge knife is a little slippery if your hands are damp. Have only had them for a few months but will continue to use them !!

Not for the serious cook
I usually love Kitchen Aid products and own many of them, but this knife is not up to par. The balance is all wrong, and the blade feels flimsy to me - especially on the paring knife. But 2 stars for the color which is a gorgeous red.

Great knives!
These knives are great. I reach for them everytime I need a knife. They cut really well and are very comfortable in my hand. Great knives at a great value!

These knives are of the best quality, and I ordered a set for myself, and husband was very impressed, and he is hard to impress in the knife department because he is used to surgical-grade steel and he cleans a lot of fish. He demands thast everything be super sharp. As he states, you harm yourself a lot less often with a dull knife than with a sharp one. These knives are so great, that I ordered them as part of a gift basket I got for our oldest daughter and her husband for their wedding annniversary. They like really good kitchen products, and I know they won't be disappointed! I would recommend to anyone. Makes a great gift, and I cannot believe the great price!

Very good knives
These knives have been my most used since they arrived. They are very sharp and I LOVE the color as well. For the price you can't go wrong. I've had for a couple of months now and I am still happy.
