Love it!!! I ordered this when it was a Today's Special Value on 2 easy payments. I got the Willow blue color. I am glad that I did! It is worth it. I have been wanting a good hand mixer. But I only live in a studio apartment and counter space is limited. This is small, but works like a dream! My first kitchen aid product and feel like Christmas in September! I will continue to purchase more kitchen products from Kitchen Aid! 09-14-11
Not the KitchenAid quality I'm used to... Purchased this mixer in October 2008. Not because I needed one at the time but because I had to have the tangerine color for my new kitchen and the KitchenAid brand name was a bonus. Used the mixer once to ensure it worked okay before putting it in storage. Finally able to take out of storage in July of 2011 (remodel took longer than expected). Used mixer twice in July without any problem then when I tried to use it last week it no longer works. The switch "just clicks" when I try to turn it on. Since that time I have read multiple reviews from varied sites that indicate they had the same problem with their 7 speed KitchenAid mixers. I do have a KitchenAid 9 Cup food processor that has worked fine the few times I've used it over the past 2 years. I also have a KitchenAid stand mixer purchased in 1985 that I have used frequently over the years. That machine has been a dream from day one and works just as perfect now as it did when purchased. 09-11-11
Bought as a gift! When my daughter opened this on Christmas morning she said, 'Mom, don't you like my mixer?' I said, 'honey, I don't feel one way or another about your mixer but use this and you won't like your mixer.' Well, sure enough, she used this later in the day and she loved it as much as I love mine. She is so pleased with this mixer as she bakes and cooks a lot! She is giving one to her sister for a shower gift and she will love it just as much. We are a Kitchenaid family, always have been and always will be. 09-07-11
Disappointed I purchased a heavy duty kitchen aid mixer a long time ago and it still works great. However, I decided it would be nice to have the hand mixer, so I purchased this mixer. After very minimal use, the beaters make a clunking sound when I use it. It seems the beaters are not in timing with one another and they fit loosely in the unit. The quality is just not the same as my other mixer. At this point it is out of warranty and it appears that I will have to send it in to be repaired. That makes it not worth the price for me. I have had other less expensive hand mixers that outperformed the kitchen aid. 09-06-11
Best Mixer Ever I would recommend this to anyone. The price is just right and you can't buy quality like this in a cheaper mixer. Greatest mixer ever. 08-11-11
Poor Quality Beaters First time I used this mixer was for creamed potatoes, one of the beaters blades' broke. I was so disappointed, had always heard of the great quality of Kitchen Aid mixers. My husband bent the blade spoke and put it back in the hole. Also, was able to use a beater from an old mixer of another brand. I will try to purchase a new set of blades from Kitchen Aid, if possible. I do like the mixer itself, especially the lowest speed (not available on other brands). Kitchen Aid needs to fix this problem with the beaters because I will not purchase another mixer from them until they do. 08-05-11
Blades came apart My last Kitchen Aid hand mixer lasted for years, and the mixing blade came apart while I was using it last year so I ordered a brand new one in the beautiful Green color that accents my white kitchen on 7/5/10, now a little a year later I was using the mixer tonight and one of the mixer blades broke right in my cookie batter. What a shame, and I am very disappointed in the quality of the product now, this was always a top of the line product, not any more. 07-23-11
well made, nice features I am the type of person that keeps things forever, my last mixer I had for 20 years and it finally burned out. This mixer is very well made as expected from KA. It has several settings and does a great job. You have only used the regular attachments but look forward to using the whisk. I got the green apple color, and it is very fresh and pretty. Worth the price, I think. 07-08-11
You recognize good quality when you see it I thought my Hamilton-Beach hand mixer was fine until I tried this Kitchenaid product. Powerful, quiet, and efficient, it sure puts the H-B mixer to shame. Very nice design and outstanding performance. One more home-run for Kitchenaid! 06-16-11
disappointed I have had this mixer for less than 3 years and suddenly the beaters are knocking together. How do I determine if it is the beaters or misaligned insertion holes for the beaters? Who repairs this and at what cost? It seems it should have lasted longer than this. I thought this was a more reliable brand. 06-08-11
Major Problems My second mixer just died on me in the midst of banana bread. My 1st mixer kept losing one of the beaters, did ok with one for a while, and then just died. My second mixer overheated, stopped, overheated and then stopped for good. I am back toCuisinart for everything . Read the consumer product reviews about Kitchenaid. Their quality is no longer what it used to be. 05-22-11
Best Mixer Ever!! I purchased my hand mixer in 2007 and use it frequently. I've even loaned it out a time or two. Recently the speed control button is extremely hard to slide and unfortunately the warranty has expired. Has this ever happened to anyone else and if so how was the problem fixed? Thanks for any info anyone might give me! 05-22-11
