don't waste your money on this one, and it doesn't matter what color you get. you have to prep the product so small before it will fit in machine then it still bogs down on an 8 oz. stick of cheddar cheese, raw cabbage, forget about ice, you might as well go all the way with your prep knife. cleaning it is a nightmare. you have to dig in all the nooks and crannies with a toothpick to get all the food removed. please do your self a favor and consider another brand.

I bought this smaller Kitchen Aid when I moved by myself into a retirement eff apt. I bought it at the end of 2013 and I have never put it away. I only need to cook for one person and I use it to slice potatoes and onions for fried potatoes, grate cheese for pimento cheese spread, grate cheese and cole slaw I use it to make icing for cupcakes. I use it pancakes, biscuits, cakes, homemade rolls, pizza dough, and bread. I don't have a dishwasher any more and when I wash it out as soon as I finish it is easy to wash too. It worked as good today when I made cupcakes as it did when I first bought it. I had planned to buy a mixer next when I first purchased this but so far haven't had the need. Would have given it a five star if it had come with a whip and french fry disc.

I purchased this product a few years ago on ez pay. At first it was mahvelous! Then about a year down the road the handle began to crack and break away. My unit was in yellow and when I contacted KA I was told they didn't have that color to replace my 9 cup bowl. I could order one in a different color and then that would be around $50 with tax and s&h. I am like everyone else. KA doesn't stand behind their products too well. It's true my 1 year limited warranty had expired but I would think a company like KA would stand behind their products if they are made well and not cheaply. I will not purchase another KA processor again. This was not the first time it has happened. I had a 7 cup processor that fell apart like this as well and I ended up purchasing a replacement bowl from a fellow Ebayer. Such a shame!
