Through Thick & Thin

Description
Master the art of slicing, dicing, kneading, shredding, and more with the versatile KitchenAid Exact Slice 9-cup food processor. Its Exact Slice System features an external adjustable slicing thickness control that allows you to change your slice from thin to thick--no need to remove the blade assembly.

The 3-in-1 wide-mouth feed tube accommodates food of all shapes and sizes, including large items like tomatoes, cucumbers, and potatoes--with a minimum of sectioning or slicing--because the less prep, the better! Drop in smaller foods by removing the narrow pusher from the medium--there's even a hole in the narrow pusher for drizzling oil. Plus, the 9-cup size is just right for everyday jobs, while the 3-cup mini work bowl and blade make the cut for smaller jobs. From KitchenAid.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great upgrade of previous model I debated buying another processor because I already had the Kitchen Aid 13 cup model but which I hated! Too many confusing parts--I made note cards and posted them inside my cabinet in order to use it-- and it was too big--a pain to wash and store the many parts. Even the storage box was huge too big for any kitchen drawer. So, I finally broke down and bought this one and just love it! They have truly made this one very convenient in size and in fewer parts, etc. This one is very easy to use and produces just as beautiful cuts and slices as the big one did. The only saving grace of the larger one was the great results. Now, I get the same with this one only it's much more convenient and easier to use. The spongey buttons could be a bit more responsive, but hey, it's still very good. The old one is boxed up in the garage and I hope this one lasts a long time!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Difficult Too hard to use, bigger than it appeared on screen. Used it once. Still sitting in cabinet. Sorry I bought it. My own fault.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible This product was such a waste of money and timing. It is very difficult to use and clean. I am highly disappointed in the purchase of this product! I was mad because I gave my Ninja away because of purchasing this product, worst thing ever!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unhappy Bought this just before Christmas. To be honest, I've probably only used it a handful of times. But everytime I use it, I get so frustrated. It's very sensitive and stops all the time. I hate this machine!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Didn't work--until... I purchased this back in January but only tried using it the night before Easter. Unfortunately, we couldn't get it to work despite a lot of aggravated attempts and even watching YouTube videos thinking it was user error. I was just about to write a scathing review when I finally got through to someone at KitchenAid. In my case, it WAS user error. You have to line up the black arm behind the food pusher with the handle on the bowl (the food pusher should be at the 6 o'clock position). Works perfectly now!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mine never worked! I bought this when my husband was deployed. I didn't open it right away. Big mistake. When I opened it and tried to use it. I couldn't get it to work. When my husband got back, I had him look at it. He couldn't get it to work either. Too late for a return. Worst $100 I ever spent. It sits on a shelf in the basement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a powerful machine Not happy with this purchase. The machine stops mid chop constantly and I have to re-seat the bowl or the blade or both. Not asking it to do particularly taxing stuff; in my case I needed to grate Parmesan cheese and make pie dough. I am starting to get the idea The name brand products sold on QVC are not the same as the same product we would purchase in retail.. this machine is lightweight, lightweight not being a good thing because the motor isn’t as powerful. I had an older kitchen aid with a 9 quart capacity that I got rid of it to upgrade to this machine that had an 11 quart capacity. Yet the new one is much lighter than the old one (that I bought in a retail store) The old one was terrific, never had an issue with it. I wouldn’t recommend this machine because it seems to be a cheaper version of the real thing and won’t be the kitchen workhorse that it should be.
