K8718 - KitchenAid 9-Cup 700W Food Processor w/Pulse Control&Access.
$10-15 PER USE
Have had for about two years and used about 10-15 times. went to attach the bowl and part of the inside of the handle fell out. Now its worthless until i purchase another bowl for $30.00 plus $2 shipp[ng. I've used kitchen aid products for 25 years and never had a problem. I am very dissaprointed in the food processor I could get better quality for 1/4 of the price. The lady from kitchen aid acted like I had done something wrong to cause the problem. Kitchen Aid brags how they stand by their products but thats not true when it comes to the foodprocessor. The handle mechanism is a bad design. It is faulty and they should replace it. 150 + is a lot to pay for such few uses.
Love it! I can't believe I ever got along without this. I find so many times to use this during the day. Really recommend this product!
had to retun it!
waited many years to buy this.....easy pay.....yipee, I'll get it.....the handle is not completely sealed and tiny drops of water could not come out after cleaning!.....not good Kitchen Aid!.....had to send it back...oh well....my Grandma and Mom never had one and we had wonderful meals....quality control isn't here with this product!
Best Kitchen Helper Ever!!!
Not only a quality product but the buttercup yellow is SO happy looking! I wish I had gotten this years ago! I always had great knife skills & didn't think I needed a processor-WELL was I ever wrong! I now have Rheumatiod Arthritis & need help chopping veggies, etc. (the small, hand neld gadgets are hard for me to hold on to, making it dangerous), so I tried this, knowing I could return it if need be. WOW! how fast & easy! News to me it is so much more than a slicer! The mini bowl is a great idea. Mixing batters is so much easier, makes light work of so many tasks I find myself trying new things just when I thought RA would take my love of cooking & baking!
9 Cup Food Processor - it's great!
I really love it, I have no problems with it. It is nice and heavy, and I don't think it would be too easy to break. I ordered a couple of extra discs for it, and they are all great.
I do wish you had a box that would house all of the discs together, and I also wish you had a cover for the machine, like the one for the mixer!
Thank you Kitchen Aid - you all are great!
I purchased this processor because my husband has oral cancer and requires his food pureed. The machine is allowing me to cook homemade meals and lightly pulse them for him. It sails through fresh produce as well as meat and veggies. Easy clean-up is a bonus. Don't hesitate to buy this one. You won't be disappointed!
Plenty of power, nice that you have two size cups to work with. Just keep a watch on the liquid line so it doesnt spill.
GOOD WITH LIMITATIONS
I have used this food processor for about a year and a half. And I use it often. I have a 20 year old yellow lab that is on a special diet, so I use this weekly to grind her cooked ground chicken breast. It does a wonderful job in getting her chicken ground fine enough to mix in with the other ingredients. Although, I do use it for other things as well. Overall I've been happy with the purchase. But there are some limitations, and given the price of this unit, there should not be. I find there are some things that I just cannot do with this food processor that I've been able to do with other food processors, such as I cannot use this one for small amounts, even in the mini bowl. I have tried making pesto in the mini bowl, and it does not seem to puree the basil to the desired, very fine consistency. You cannot use very much liquid, or it flows out through the center hole. I've also tried to make very fine cracker crumbs. You can do it, but it takes a little extra time to get them fine enough. Like I said. I have used other food processors that could handle these small and fine jobs. So, for the money, you would expect more from the KitchenAid food processor than it actually gives.
I have never had a food processor before, now I wonder why? I have been missing the boat. This one is great. No regrets. Easy to use, easy to clean. One suggestion, you need to buy the storage box for the attachments or else they will be all over the place. Buy this KitchenAid.....you will use it everyday.
I just made pizza dough in literally about 1 to 2 minutes! I make homemade pizza about once a week & this is great to make the dough & grate the cheese... I use this a lot and would be lost without it.
I bought this for my daughter earlier this year after visiting her and finding that she had another brand that was not up to standards (I broke it!). This one is like the one I have at home. She loves it because it is so much easier to assemble and use than her old one. It is heavy duty and versatile, As with all Kitchen-Aid products, it is the best!
Makes Things a Breeze!
I bought this in the buttercup yellow and absolutely love it. I've never had one, so I'm pretty excited when what used to be a hard strenuous baking project a breeze. I used to have to break-up and then roll-out graham crackers until they were a saw-dust texture with a rolling pin. You can only imagine when you have to make several batches of peanut butter cups how laborous that would be. Within seconds (literally) of me putting into the food processor, I got the same result. Wow! That's exciting to me. Same way when I went to make enchiladas and no longer have to shred cheese by hand and have to make stops in between to give my arm a rest. Again, done in seconds. I've wanted one for a long time and didn't want to be without it again this Christmas holiday. LOVE IT! Hope it lasts for years to come, as it is an investment.
