Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my new KitchenAid stand mixer I have been wanting one of these stand mixers for a long time and when my mother passed away I was expecting to get her KitchenAid mixer, instead it was thrown away to my dismay. I am so glad I found this on QVC, it works great and it is very quiet and you can't really beat the price, especially with the 5 easy payments. I have used it twice now and plan on using it for years to come. No more hand mixing for me, I was really getting tired of the electric hand mixer throwing stuff all over the kitchen whenever I baked. Don't have to worry about that anymore.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Makes a huge mess! I coveted a KitchenAid mixer for years before finally taking the plunge. This mixer is beautiful and well-made. I love the metal bowls, they are super light and easy to handle. But it makes a HUGE mess. Even when I only add 1/4 of flour at a time to my wet ingredients, on the lowest setting (even turning the mixer off while I add the ingredients) the mixer SLINGS the dry ingredients out of the bowl. Forget about doubling recipes. The batter will fly out as well. I'm not sure if its the shape of the bowl, or if the 4.5 size is really that much different from the original 5 quart size, or if the speed of the lowest setting is just too fast? Whatever the cause, after using for more than a few weeks, I realized I had to send this back. I found myself handmixing because I lived in dread of going through the mess of the KitchenAid mixer. For $300 bucks, it had to go back. Considering trying again with a bigger size. If you are purchasing to use for the attachments, then I would recommend this product. The motor was powerful and would fulfill that purpose. For any mixing of dry and wet ingredients. No thanks.
