Rated 5 out of 5 by Kitchen Aid does it again!!! Whoever thought of this was a genius. I love this item! I have used it only for soup so far and I have to say the stir tower is fantastic. You have several selections with it and I didn't have to worry about my soup burning or sticking to the bottom of the cooker. The cooker itself has many functions and I cannot wait to use all of them!!!!! Another winner for you KitchenAid!!! 01-05-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by One opinion only Because we have to enter a number of stars and we have to give a review title, I did, but I must first say here that I have not used this product. We bought it, received it and were very eager to use it. I bought it for my spouse for a specific purpose: to temper chocolate for candy-making. One of the reviews I read mentioned that the customer was going to use it for tempering chocolate so I thought that indicated that he/she knew it could be used for that purpose. When we received our order and began reading the product information, it indicated that the range of temperatures would not be suitable for tempering chocolate. I telephoned Kitchen Aid to get definitive answers to that question about tempering chocolate and learned that it is NOT suitable for tempering chocolate. The temperature does not go low enough - if I recall correctly, the lowest temperature it goes is 110 degrees (not positive about that and can't check it now). Otherwise it looks very nice and looks like it would be a great cooker with all those features, and I can see that the stir tower would be good for true "non-stick" cooking but that's not what we bought it for and since it cannot be used to temper chocolate, we have to return it, sad to say. This review of 4 stars is because I GUESS it would be at least "good" and probably better, but just not for tempering chocolate. 01-04-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth Every Penny At Full Price!! Love this machine! Originally got to make apple butter after getting a serious burn from molten hot apples. The stir tower is amazing! I use it almost every day- the yogurt setting is so easy. Best yogurt is fresh and home made. Risotto setting even better. Never would have tried these recipes that need constant stirring. The cooker makes perfect rice. Love that it tells you the temperature! Did I mention that the stir tower is totally worth it? And it is beautiful. Have the cinnamon next to my kitchen aide mixer and so beautiful to serve foods at parties! 01-01-17
Rated 3 out of 5 by Flaking insert On functionality I would rate a 5.On quality 2 because of the insert flaking. I got this in September, used it once, hand washed with soap, hot water, and sponge. Dried it and put it away. Today I got it out to cook something for Thanksgiving and the inserted was pitted and flaking. I had read other complaints about this, but I thought it could have been related to cleaning. This cost too much money to not be able to use at its full extent. I put a slow cooker liner in it, but I cannot use the stir tower with the liner. I am very disappointed with KitchenAid. 11-24-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing multi cooker This is an amazing multi cooker. It does all that it says it will. The mixing tower attachment is pretty cool as well. The only complaint.. size. 5 or 6 quart capacity would have been nice. KitchenAid hit a home run with this one. 11-23-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great cooker I have found this to be a great cooker. The temperature keeps consistant and the stirrer is wonderful. I have wanted this for some time but the cost kept me from getting it. No since it is on sell I am so glad I bought it. To me it's worth it! 11-22-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by What a Disappointment! Had it for two days. Used twice then quit working right in the middle of me browning beef to make the beef stew recipe in the recipe book. The cooking vessel also had a scratch on the rim. I read reviews that it scratches easily.Good thing I had my pressure cooker to come to the rescue. Now I understand why it is on clearance...back it goes! Not willing to replace it. 11-20-16
