Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bowl removal solved Ok, for those of us who have received the units with hard to install or remove bowls, this is what I did: In the "L" slots on the base there is a little nub which I found was the culprit making too tight of a locking fit. Working the bowl back and forth several times did wear this down ever so slightly, but I went a step further and with a small nail file shaved that down a slight bit more on all 3. A VERY small amount was all that was needed. I figured I had nothing to lose, since I thought I was going to have to send this back because of the difficulty, but of course please don't cause yourself problems by ruining the unit or making it unreturnable. This caused no cosmetic damage at all which would have bothered me. Even more importantly it caused no operating damage. Long story short, my bowl now installs and removes so very much easier while still locking in place, and I don't have to hug the unit to my body while having to use He-Man strength to try to get the bowl on or off. P.S. This is a great little chopper for me now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect Size in a Snap I almost did not order this item when I saw it reviewed on TV. The reason was as the host demonstrated it, it appeared to be ear piercing and the sound while chopping./pureeing was not appealing to me. I ordered it anyway based on the no hassle return and because it came with two containers. When I used it today, I was surprised that it wasn't as loud as I heard on TV. I suppose because they have mics on and over hear mic it amplified the sound and made it sound unappealing. I wondering how many others thought the same and did not place an order. QVC you should consider what the viewers hear. One con that I noticed is that the top part where the Chop and Puree buttons are is two small "plastic" like prongs on the under side. I'm afraid if not careful these prongs could chip off and render the top part useless. On top of the blade is a long plastic stick that seems not as steady and the same concern here. I noticed that other reviewers said the top was hard to get off/open and back on again. I did not find any of these issues. I think the cord could fit better under the unit as it coils around-it stick out and laying flat on the counter it does not do. Other than that this is a great helper in the kitchen and the chops are BEAUTIFUL. I would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Than Ninja I see many reviews here complain about the bowl and the lid. I had a problem with them like 2 times and now the bowl and lid go on and off with ease. Just like the KitchenAid big food processor, you just have to line up the notches on the bowl with those on the base and the same for the lid. I like the way this little KitchenAid chops better than my Ninja and having 2 bowls make it just wonderful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the yellow Ordered the chopper to match my yellow Kitchen aid mixer despite all the negative reviews. At first the bowl was a difficult to remove. But once I removed it I used a little oil around the base of the bowl and wiped it off and now it works like a charm. Very easy to remove the bowl now but I do wish it had a handle. Glad I ordered it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't get bowl off without help. I don't like to write a bad review. I was so excited that I finally decided to get this little chopper and in such a beautiful color! This unit is not for anyone with less than good strength in hands and wrists. The bowl doesn't go on easily and is next to impossible to get it off to clean. I had to ask my neighbor to please come over and twist the bowl off. You can be sure they won't be buying one of these. What's up with KitchenAid? There are so many people complaining of this problem. I am sending mine back. I saw the new model in another store yesterday; hopefully, the problem has been resolved.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Arrived Damaged Received 2 days earlier than expected and was excited. I got ready to open the box and heard something rattling inside. Upon opening the box I discovered that a piece of the top had broken off and was rattling around inside the bowl. I was anxiously awaiting its arrival only to be sadly disappointed. I immediately called Customer Service. I still wanted to try the chopper out so I decided to exchange it for the same item, only to find out that the color I had ordered (contour silver) was no longer available/sold out, so I chose black instead. Sent it back the day after it was received. We'll see what happens when I receive the replacement. If I get another damaged product it's going right back, but for a refund this time.
