KitchenAid 13 Cup 3-in-1 Wide Mouth Food Processor w/ Accessories
Wonderful kitchen accessory!
I am really not sure why there have been a few not so wonderful reviews on this product. I think it is great. I had a 25 y.o. KA 7 cup processor for about 25 years. After asking it to do probably far more than I should have expected of it, it finally started to die. The motor runs like a charm but other parts had cracked.
After coveting this one for so long, I finally ordered it. It is fantastic. Actually, I have had to get used to the speed of this. I thought my old one was fast but this is amazing. As far as it's size goes, yes it is large but the foot print is not much bigger than my old one. And, if you are in to making dough in a processor as I am, you really need one this size.
The other complaint I have see is that it is complicated. I don't feel that is so. There is one piece that is used only with the adjustable slicing disc; simple.
So, if you want a wonderful helping hand in the kitchen, I would highly recommend. You cannot do better on the price; I saw it on sale in another big name store for $199.. I am really happy that I made the purchase through QVC when I did.
I purchased this when it was not on clearance. If you've even thought about a ford processor don't miss this. I love this versatile machine.
Not Off To A Good Start
Took it out the box, looked the instructions over, did a simple assembly and NOTHING! Took it all apart, reassembled carefully and STILL NOTHING. The lights on the LOW and HIGH buttons lit when pressed but the motor was dead. I called QVC CS, was given the Kitchen Aid number and called the next day. The KA CS rep instructed me over the phone as to what to do and after trying many times, doing different things and the same thing over again, she declared it non-operational.
Sending back to Q for a replacement. If there is the same problem with the replacement, I'll return for refund if within the Q 30 day warranty. I will not bother with it anymore. Otherwise will have to send to KA for repair or replacement within it's warranty period.
If the replacement runs as it should, I'll come back and update my review. But for now, EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with this purchase.
I bought this for the market season and I LOVE IT! It's big enough to put a lot of veggies in without having to stop and scape out the bowl! It cleans easily. I'm also excited to use it to make pizza dough!
Purchased this item for my girlfriend as she was canning. She used it once and it never worked again. She is a fan of Kitchenaid and was excited to get this, and deeply disappointed in the lack of operation. She has even sent Kitchenaid an email expressing her disappointment. I asked her if she wanted to replace it with another one and she said no after reading the other poor reviews on this same product/model. So now we are off to the store to purchase one.
So nice.... Quite, quite, quite I was very surprised . It works just like demonstrated . So glad I got it. Yes it is big but I don't care it does such a good job.
I purchased this product to use in canning and preserving vegetables from my garden and it did not disappoint. It sliced my cucumbers for pickles with ease and I could adjust the size of the slice on the front of the food processor without changing a blade or making some kind of adjustment on the inside of the unit. I also used it to puree tomatoes for use in making sauces. I am very pleased and would recommend to anyone!!!!
Why did I wait so long!!
I recently received my new food processor. It makes slicing, dicing, shredding, and other food prep a "snap". It took a bit to figure it out but once I did it has been great. Love having the tool caddy so I know where all my KitchenAid attachments are.
High Hopes But SO Disappointed
My 12 year old Cuisinart is ready for retirement, and this Kitchenaid looked so promising- but I'm sad to say it's going back (my first QVC return ever). I loved the color, the two cup sizes, the adjustable slicer and the attachment box was a winner, but the ease of use and performance made it a dog. My initial complaint was that it needs to be more intuitive for daily use- I shouldn't have to get the manual out every time I use it, especially when doing simple tasks I've already "mastered". It was frustrating to troubleshoot when it wouldn't run; with my Cuisinart it's either the bowl or the pusher wasn't locked, but this thing seemed moody and inconsistent. Then after using it only a handful of times for easy jobs, it seemed like it was really struggling. No food processor should tire just chopping garlic. Finally it just wouldn't work at all, as if the motor burned out. It was a huge waste of the time I bought a food processor to save!!! 2 months in with less than a dozen uses, and I'm wasting more time going thru the return process and writing a bad review. I'm extremely disappointed Kitchenaid! For almost $200.00 this machine should have grown old with me.
I have no comment on how this works because I have no place to store it. I have pull out shelves in my kitchen and this takes up twice the space of my old Braun, and the parts are taller even though it looked compact and low profile on TV. If you cannot keep the main component and bowl on your countertop, you had better have lots of storage space if you want to keep it out of sight! The storage box for all the components is nice but the footprint is as large as the processor base.
Perfect for Cooking
I use this all the time when preparing food that needs to be minced. Onions are perfectly chopped by this and saves tons of time!
Love, love, LOVE this
Without a doubt, the BEST food processor ever. I am single and use mine several times a week. There is nothing it won't do!!!
