Kelly by Clinton Kelly Stretch Twill Flat Front Trouser Pants
Finally Long Enough
Finally a pair of pants on QVC that are long enough! Most of the brands here are too short for me and I am 5'6. I can wear these with a medium heel and not flats. I got the blue size 6 and they fit like a glove. The rise is fine, and not like some of the other brands in tall that have a high waist and rise. Will be buying the other colors also.
CHEAP and ILL-FITTING!
Wow, I wish I had read the reviews on these pants more carefully... I guess I was just star struck over Clinton Kelly, so I assumed these would be fabulous. Not so much, though!!! I would have been better off buying some Dickies work pants. These are thin, cheap, and pull through the hips and thighs. Just awful!!!
Not what I expected at all :(
Not only were these pants ill-fitting for me, they simply were not feminine at all! They say 97% cotton on the description with 3% spandex but I didn't feel this combination in the fabric at all, felt way more polyester & not the good kind. Also, for me the rise was too short & I'm short-waisted! The photo shows a flat-front pant & I received a severely center-creased pant which made the style look so old-fashioned & somewhat manly to me even on my curves which was completely unbelievable. I do think the attempt was there to put together an expensive-looking pant at a reasonable price but the feel & fit did not meet the mark for me. Maybe the other colors are more consistent? I got the blue ones & it could just be that one option?
Love, Love, LOVE These!
OK - these pants are awesome! They fit me like a glove and the elastic detail in the back is pure genius. I love the boot-cut option in a twill pant. And the stretch twill is very comfortable. The design can go dressy/business for work or casual. I bought a pair in each color. I know, I know, Clinton - you say on What Not To Wear not to buy multiples .... but I just couldn't help myself! I have no other pair of pants that fit me as though they were tailored for me. Well made and worth the money.
I love these pants and ordering the other two colors. I'm 5'4" and after I washed and dried them they shunk to the right size. The best surprise was that there are two buttons on the inside of the back of the pant to adjust the elastic hidden inside the waist. That took care of the excess pant that was bulging out the back. That really made it a finished look and fit.
Not A Great Fit For Me
I got the size 14, tan. The fabric was very nice but the fit was not good for me. The size 14 was too big and that is the size I usually wear. They were also much too long and the
rise too short. These went back
"Sam, You Made the Pants Too Long"
Clinton is adorable and his clothes are an asset to QVC. However, the pants are always too long. For me at 5'2"...on a good day...these require alterations in several places. It's not the cost it's the time involved. If these or any of the Kelly pants ever come in the smaller sizes in petites I'll be first in line to get them. And yes, I would recommend them to a *tall* friend.
I wear a 14 and have a thick waist and no derierre to speak of! these fit great and are a great fit. It is hard for me to find a good fit..These are as good a fit as Isaacs. Thumbs up Clinton..I will order more. Keep the rise and waist! :)
almost but not quite right for me
I bought the "stone" (really khaki tan) in 2 sizes. I very much like the fabric feel and weight (light, but not flimsy.) I really liked the tan color for upcoming summer. However the pant does get pretty wrinkled - you won't look crisp in these (maybe it doesn't show as much in the darker colors.) What's not quite right for me is the fit. The smaller size was snug in the thighs but fit in the waist; the larger size fit better in the hips and thighs but was quite loose in the waist. I have other Clinton Kelly trousers with the pull elastic tabs in the back and they work fairly well in those (if you don't mind a bunched up back waistline) but they didn't seem to have much effect in this fabric. And these pants GROW throughout the day as you wear them. Still deciding whether to keep the smaller size and count on the growth to get a more comfortable thigh fit. I didn't find that they shrunk in length in dryer (I wish they had so I wouldn't have to spend the additional money to get them hemmed!)
WAIST IS TOO SMALL
I received these yestereday. They are very well made and the fabric is just great. My complaint is that the waist is too small. Why don't designers just give us that seam in the back that can be opened and adjusted. It's such a small thing and I would not have to send these back.
These slacks are great fitting. They are well made of good quality fabric.
Would love to get them in several more colors.
Great Fit!! Highly Recommend!!
I bought these in the khaki color - size 4. They fit great, the fabric feels nice on, stretch in the fabric is really nice and I really like the buttons/elastic adjustment on the inside rear of the pant - it really helps keep the waist nice and snug. They do shrink some after washing so if you need the full 32" in length I would suggest that you hang dry. I did not need the full 32" so the inch or so that they shrank up was perfect for me! I came back and bought this pant in the other 2 colors so obviously I highly recommend them!!
