Kathleen Kirkwood Padded Shoulder Cap Sleeve Cami with Lace
This is shiny & runs small, so it's tight. Don't order it unless you are VERY thin or are going to cover it with a jacket or sweater.
I love this I got it in grey , would love to have in black . may go up a size next time don't care for it to be tight
I have looked at this cami for a very long time and was hesitant to order because of the nude liner looking like it showed thru lace. However during the presentation it did not appear that it could be seen so I placed order. I love the teal color & the padded shoulders. The neckline could be a little higher but I hate seeing the nude liner thru the lace resulting in 4 stars. This would be soooo much better if neckline was a little higher and lace was over same color as cami.
No wonder it's on sale
Are these made for NFL Linebackers? They're too wide and too short, the shoulders fall off and even though I'm very busty (and got the right size based on the chart), this is too big and doesn't fit the bust area correctly.
The lace only extends about 3/4 of the way over the bust (top to bottom), but the bust area of the shirt is so wide it doesn't fit well. Despite the way it looked on the models, even the busty ones, it's a little too low on the bustline as well. I always look at that before I buy a top.
The shirt part that's supposed to "float away" from your body (according to the show), is too short to do so. It does not fall as well as it should and it's too short, again, different than it looked on the models.
The color is supposed to be grey, but it's really a denim blue. It goes "okay" under my jean jacket, so rather than spend the money to send it back, I'll keep it. I have other Kirkwood camis and I like those, but this one? UGH, save your money.
NO WONDER IT'S ON CLEARANCE!
I have other tops from KK and like them alot, but this one is made very poorly! The shoulder pads are huge and don't fit my shoulders at all! I bought the same size I always do (XS) but it doesn't fit at all! Can't wrap it up to be returned fast enough!
Should Have Returned!
Purchased in XSmall when first presented. I never wore. Put it on and then took it off something about the lace and cap sleeve just did not work for me. Gifted to charity.
WISHING I COULD BUY MORE
I'm 5'3 and wear petite XS. I purchased the XS in the antique pink. This fit me appropriately except for where the cap sleeves are. It felt like the sleeves were sewn slightly on the long side and kept slipping down my shoulders. No matter how much I pulled down or repositioned this cami, the sleeves kept falling. I wouldn't mind the off-the-shoulder look, but the sleeves are padded. It looked awkward. At this point either I remove the pads or have a seamstress alter it for me. I would buy other colors in this cami, but I'm STILL waiting for The Q to restock.
This is a very unattractive cami. It's very "heavy" looking and feeling. The lace, in my opinion, is overdone and cheap looking. This piece needs to go back to the drawing board.
This garment was poorly proportioned from shoulders. Pads were also too large for the fabric and sizing.
Love this Product
I think I have this in every color! I do not have any shoulders so wear shoulder pads with everything. It just gives you a better shape. Also takes 10 lbs off to have some shoulders. If you notice, ALL the models have broad shoulders. Lucky them.
A dream to wear and functional too!
I love these. I took away one star just because there is a gap under the arms and my bra shows. Seems like a dart is missing. I went down a size. I wear these under something so it doesn't show but a closer fit under the arm would be better. It fits the body (below the arm) perfectly and feels great against the skin. Looks fantastic under a low neck dress. The shoulder pads are just the right size and make this cami do double duty. I like the flesh colored lining under the lace. It shows off the lace. If the lining were the same color as the lace, the lace would be invisible.
Beautiful and comfortable. The sizing is spot on. It fits like a dream. I couldn't ask for more. Kathleen, keep the beautiful pieces coming.
