I enjoy having different things for the holidays. My two sons were home and Christmas was finally here! I had ordered the beef wellington and was looking forward to enjoying a savory meal. They looked excellent and I was pleased as punch when they came out of the oven looking picture perfect! Ask me how upset I was when my sons tasted them and told me they thought they went bad!! Yes it was a "new thing" we were having but really they had no taste and we couldn't consume them. Needless to say our dinner was ruined and we had cheese and crackers for our holiday meal. So thank you Kansas city steak for an awful experience!

I suffered through the wrong instructions as well. What is said on TV versus the KC cooking booklet are 2 different things. Wasted two steaks as another reviewer did until I sorta figured it out. Do not spray Pam on parchment paper and dont heat the parchment paper in the oven first. Use a meat thermometer and take them out at 123-125 degrees otherwise they are well to well done. I have come to the conclusion I do not care for the duxcelle(sp) mixture the meat is wrapped in. Regardless of what you do, some of the pastry will still be soggy (yuk). Please dont waste your money the way I did. Just get the plain filets and you will be happy.

Just found a paper I had kept track of prices of food items back in the day - Don't get me wrong I love these but I will never pay this price. I back in the day got six 8.5oz. beef wellington for $54.60 I'm just saying. Their pricing has gone over the roof.

These are just wonderful, my husband loves them. Quick and easy. I will order again and this time I think I'll do the Auto delivery. Would give it more stars if I could !!!

Loved these steaks. I have prepared Beef Wellington before, very time consuming.
This was easy and had a excellent taste. Yes, the instructions were different, but most
ovens are different. When the pastry starts to brown, then that's when you determine
when its time to remove from oven. Loved these so much....I will reorder soon.
Do not miss out...you will really enjoy these Beef Wellingtons.

The cooking instructions for this are completely incorrect. If you follow the instruction given on TV AND in their "Gourmet Cooking Guide" that comes with these beef wellingtons (400 degrees for 36 minutes = medium rare) you will end up with an over cooked, well done, very tough entree. I ruined 2 of mine trying to figure out how to cook them. They should be cooked at 375 degrees for 30 minutes from frozen and you will end up with a medium rare to medium doneness. QVC should give me 1/4 of my price back :(
