Kansas City 8.25-9 lb. Spiral Sliced Bone-in Ham w/ Glaze Mix
Delicious and easy
I bought this ham for Christmas and it got rave reviews from all my guests. I did not use the glaze, and it was perfect without it. Highly recommended.
this was the second year i ordered the ham. it won't be the last. it wasso good, not salty at all. great flavor.
First year but not the last year
Tried this because KC Steak's prime rib and tenderloin cannot be beaten. I can now add their ham to that list. This will be our ham of choice for years to come because it is juicy, not salty, full of lovely flavor and incredibly tender. Three thumbs up.
Will purchase again & again
This was the first KC ham purchased, but certainly not the last. I had this one sent to my sister-in-law and her husband. They thought it was delicious so I sent one to my mother for Thanksgiving. She served it and it met very high reviews. So, I ordered one to use for a Christmas gathering. Once again, very high reviews. I have for many years bought KC steaks and enjoyed them. Now it's nice to have another choice of meat. Thank you QVC and KC!
Just served the ham last evening. Everyone enjoyed even though we also served other meats (roast beef and chicken) alongside. We usually get Honey Baked and I would say this ham at least compares in quality and taste. We will most likely stick to our old habit of the Honey Baked but would encourage QVC customers to give this a try. The convenience of having delivered to the door (Frozen) helps make this worth the higher cost.
The main reason I purchased this ham was because it had a bone in it. I love the ham bone for making soups. The smoky flavor and the marbling are just right. High marks from all my guests!
Consistently moist lean ham over the last 4 years
Just served this at a club holiday party and everyone raved. This was served cold without the sauce as we ran out of time! I purchase this every year for my niece and her husband and have it shipped to their home. Then I come to visit and we have many great meals and sandwiches. She later uses the bone to make soup.
It is consistently one of the leanest and tastiest hams I have had n years!
Kansas City has got to step it up
I have been ordering this ham since 2010, in the beginning, it was a nice size and delicious. Last year I ordered two and one was of a small size, when I called QVC about this, they were gracious enough to give me credit for it. This year, it's the same problem, I just receive my ham and I am very doubtful that it will feed the portions that it is suppose to. Also the entire ham is not spiral sliced, there is a large chunk on the end unsliced.
Considering the cost of the ham, Kansas City should do everything to ensure that it is worth the price.
This may be the last year that I order their ham.
Rave Reviews from Everyone Thanksgiving
Third year in a row, everyone loves this ham. My daughter called at 11:30 p.m. Thanksgiving night to know if we had leftover ham that she could have cause she was craving it. Not too salt at all. I tried the Butter Toffee flavor, had original last year- don't have a favorite, both great. Well worth the price. Mine came 8:00 p.m the night before Thanksgiving Day and was frozen even though had been in shipment 2 days, so remember that when you are getting ready to serve, we had to warm longer to get the thermometer up to the proper temperature (instructions included). I will definitely keep buying, the best ham ever and I live near a famous ham company in Virginia!
ham was good, glaze very sweet, put glaze in separate dish. dont think i will buy again, little salty.
worst ham i ever had
purchased these 2 4# Smithfield hams they looked tasty on show program, had one for Thanksgiving was very disappointed this was my first purchase in food items, and will be my last, these ham was dry, no taste and no juice, Hams I purchased at store was much better, thought since this was a Smithfield would be super very disappointed and the cost, for such small portions.
Bgt this ham for Thanksgiving to serve with the Turkey. I have been doing this for the last few years and every one seems to enjoy the combo. Whats not eaten is frozen to be used for sandwiches or to be used to make a hearty split pea soup. I would love to have this ham more often but its too expensive.
