LOVE Kenneth Jay Lane
When you look at Kenneth Kay Lane's jewelry you are looking at history. I love his style and it is true that you can spot a KJL design a mile away. It is so distinctive. This book gives you a lovely history in both word and pictures of Mr Lane's start in the industry to his outstanding presence in today's world. Pictures of jewelry adorn the book and you end up wishing there were more pictures when you are done looking at everything. Marvelous keepsake!!

Bit Disappointing
I'll admit right off the bat that I enjoy KJL designs, but am not a fanatic. I thought this would be a nice coffee table book with glamorous pictures of people and their jewelry. I also understand this is a limited publication catering to a niche market. However, the price just isn't justified. The book is small and the picture quality, except those of KJL himself, are hit or miss. Many look like papparazzi quality (before super zoom and digital) and the captions are vague, at best. This isn't a stunning art book, as I'd hoped. It's really meant to be read, which is for die hards, not those preferring to visually browse, like me. Sorry, but not wowed - back it goes.

Great Book - Great Price
I looked for this book in the bookstores and other online sources besides QVC. QVC has the best price. It's a beautiful little book. Nice for the coffee table - a light, interesting read with lots of great pictures of KJL's fabulous creations. I will enjoy this book immensely. I bought it for myself, but it would also make a wonderful gift for the jewelry lover who also appreciates and admires this genius man.

This is no fake!
A great little intro to the world of Kenneth Jay Lane, urbane socialite and brilliant jeweler. Yes, jeweler. Read the book. It informs and delights, much like man about whom it is written.

Very Enjoyable, get it while you can!
I debated on this book for a while & went ahead and ordered after discovering it's not readily available elsewhere & the QVC price is very good. I'm glad I did.
If you like costume jewelry history and Kenneth Jay Lane you'll enjoy his entertaining stories & lovely photos of his jewelry. I only like to buy books that I refer to & enjoy repeatedly and I'm glad I added this one to my library.
Get it while you can!

A Treasure Book
If you love Kenneth Jay Lane, you must own this book! It is a look at a master of his craft. I purchased this book when QVC first aired it years ago and it is as relavant today as it was when I bought it. If you love costume jewelry, then you need to add this book to your collection. It is a gem!

Great gift item
This is certainly a charming book with nice pictures. In regards to the autographed comments from the previous two reviewers...the QVC description IS correct. "autobiography" means that the book is about the author...not that it is "autographed". Autographed means that it is signed by the author. I just wanted to clarify this in case others were confused.
Overall, this book is a nice collector's item from KJL and makes a great gift...I received it from a friend who knows I love KJL's jewelry.

Nice Book
Nice little book that gives a lot of KJL's background and history. Not eye-popping, but a good addition to any jewelry book library.
Again, as a previous reviewer pointed out, it is NOT autographed by KJL, and QVC might want to adjust the product description to be more accurate.

What fun!!!
This is a really fun book for just comfort reading. Is as good as the Joan Rivers Jewellry book. Lots of great pics of his creations. NOT, however autographed by KJL as the description leads you to believe. If you want an autographed copy, this is not for you.

Fabulous photos and history
If you love KJL you should have this book. It tells the story, shows the photos and is very nicely put together. It's fun to browse the pages to search for any older pieces you might own or have seen. I was lucky enough to get it when it first came out and Kenneth signed it. It's really a history of high-class costume jewelry, of which he is the king.
