About Junior's

Founded by Harry Rosen in 1950, Junior's landmark restaurant is known as the home of New York's best cheesecake. From the very first day Junior's opened its doors in 1950 on the corner of DeKalb and Flatbush Avenue Extension in Brooklyn, the Rosen family has worked hand in hand to build the restaurant into one of the most popular eateries in the city. For decades residents of Brooklyn (and other New Yorkers) have come here to eat, laugh, argue, and kibitz over cheesecake. In the 1950s an entire generation came of age at Junior's.

Since the opening, Junior's has been serving the "World's Most Fabulous Cheesecake." Harry Rosen perfected his recipe for the perfect New York–style cheesecake with a master baker named Eigel Peterson. After much trial and error, they had it – a delicious layer of buttery light sponge cake with the perfect cheesecake – creamy but not heavy, light without falling apart, and of course that rich, creamy flavor. To this day, the third generation of Rosens still uses the same recipe.

In 1995, Junior's began selling its fabulous cheesecakes on QVC. Many of the selections are created just for QVC – you can't even get them in our restaurant!

Today, loyal customers still come from all over and all walks of life – Supreme Court justices, famous mayors, Hall of Fame athletes, authors, singers, and movie stars – each with his or her favorite Junior's cheesecake. In fact it's as true today as it was 50 years ago: You haven't really lived until you've had cheesecake from Junior's.

All of Junior's cakes and cheesecakes will stay fresh in your freezer for up to 6 months. Unused portions may be stored in the refrigerator up to 7 days. Place the cake back in the Junior's box and wrap the box in plastic wrap for storage in the refrigerator or freezer. Cakes may be refrozen.

Cheesecakes are best served at room temperature. Leave frozen cake on counter 3–4 hours prior to serving, or defrost overnight in refrigerator and leave on counter 2 hours.

How to Cut Cheesecake

Cheesecakes are best served at room temperature. Use a warm knife to cut the cheesecake. A chef's knife or cake knife works best. Wipe the knife with a damp towel in between each slice to ensure a smooth cut. Watch for fast hands trying to grab the cut slices! Enjoy!

Dry Ice Info

This item will arrive within 2 days of shipping. Each package is shipped in Dry Ice, ensuring the contents will arrive cold and ready for storage in your freezer.

What is Dry Ice?

Dry Ice is another term for solid carbon dioxide. You know that carbon dioxide ("CO2") is the gas we exhale every time we breathe. When CO2 gas is compressed, it changes to CO2 solid.

Why do we use Dry Ice?

Dry Ice is very cold. In fact, its surface temperature is approximately -110°F, much colder than regular ice, which has a surface temperature of 32°F. Because Dry Ice is so cold, it is an excellent refrigerant to keep perishable food products cool until they arrive to you, the customer.

Why wasn't any Dry Ice remaining when my package arrived?

Dry Ice has special properties that are much different than regular ice. This is due to the chemical differences between water and CO2. Ice will melt to liquid and then evaporate as a gas. Dry Ice skips the liquid phase and changes from a solid directly to a gas. This change is called "sublimation." The dry ice used in the food products we offer usually lasts between 24 to 36 hours. Since we ship our products in 2 days, it is common for little or no dry ice to remain by the time you receive your package. However, your food will still be cold - ready to be put right in your freezer!

Junior's Creme Brulee Cheesecake 2.6 5 52 52
Excellent! I don't understand the negative reviews on this. Ive ordered this several times and I think its yummy!! Moist and delicious! Got one now in my freezer just to be sure I can have it whenever I want!! 01-08-14
Will Become a Family Tradition I purchased a Junior's Creme Brûlée cheesecake about two years ago, our family loves this cake. One of my favorite desserts is Creme brûlée, so Cheesecake isn't supposed to taste exactly like it, but to hint its flavor while keeping the cheesecake flavor. I hope QVC never stops carrying this flavor. By the way, this cake didn't last one day in the house. 11-15-13
Hrs cheese cake I just received Jrs Burlee cheese cake disappointed came hot all ice gone the cake was cracked & crushed on one side. I was for a new one being that I had to take it as I promised was my item I said I would bring she said she could not promise it before 10 days Outrageous they should have send me a new one over night. Let down Crème Brulee Cheesecake was a big let down. One side was very low. I opened the box Easter Sunday. Past cheesecake orders were perfect. The taste was not what I expected. I did not think to call QVC about it. I am glad I had another dessert. 04-09-13
Very Dry This cheesecake was not anything like it was described in the presentation. It was dry and the custard that was supposed to be in the middle was nowhere to be found. Called QVC Customer Service and they refunded my money, no questions asked. Love QVC!! 04-08-13
So disappointed. So disappointed. Ordered this cake for my mom's birthday. It was dry and it certainly was not worth the price. Will not be ordering from this vendor again. 04-05-13
Save your money. This cheesecake is awful. Got it for Easter dessert, everyone agreed that it was not worth the money. 04-02-13
This was not a good cheesecake for the money This cheesecake was the worst I've ever tasted. I was so disappointed. This was supposed to be our Easter Dinner dessert; but not one person at my dinner liked it, so consequently, we had no dessert. I've never written a negative review to QVC, and I'm so sorry I had to write this one... I will refrain from ordering food items...So Sorry. 04-01-13
Not creme brulee! Very dissappointed in this cheesecake. The crust was overspiced. The topping was not what creme brulee was like. I would not order this cheesecake or recommend it. 04-01-13
