Featuring the same tools used by the expert manicurists in Julep Nail Parlors, this manicure set includes four stainless steel implements coated in ultra-durable Teflon, plus an all-purpose emery board. A slim, zippered case makes storage and transport easy.

How do I use it: Gently push back excess cuticles using the cuticle pusher.

Use the rounded edge of the cleanup tool to clean under nails. Use the straight edge to wipe stray lacquer off skin during polish application.

Lift top metal lever of the nail clippers, rotate 180 degrees, and flip over. Carefully trim nails, taking care not to cut too close to the nail bed. If trimming toenails, always cut in a straight line.

Shape nails with the coarse grit side of the emery board. Always file from the outer corner toward the center using one-way strokes. Smooth edges with the fine grit side.

Apply your favorite cuticle softener and allow 30 seconds for product to absorb. Alternatively, soak hand in warm, soapy water to soften cuticles. Hold the pusher so the curve of the hook aligns with nail beds on your opposite hands. Gently push back the cuticles on each nail using a one-way, upward motion. Avoid scraping nail bed. If needed, soften cuticles again during use.

Make sure the center latch of the cuticle nipper is attached before use. Bladed edges should be facing nail bed. After you've pushed back cuticles, carefully trim any hangnails using the tip of the cuticle nipper. Avoid cutting any live skin.

Pro Tip: Sanitize metal tools in the dishwasher or by boiling in hot water for two to five minutes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from IT'S THE CUTICLE CLIPPERS Getting a set in in which every single separate tool works well is beyond difficult. I bought a hundred dollar set to take for my pedicures and it was quickly rejected by my manicurist! She went back to her somewhat "disposable" tools! And yet there were one or two tools within the set which ARE good for my own personal use. Being very pleased with JULEP products, in general, I splurged and bought this manicure set for myself as I quit going to the nail salon. Wouldn't you know it? The cuticle clippers would be comfortable to use only with tiny hands, not MY hands! They quickly became uncomfortable to use, pushing down in the very small area of the handles. The other tools are good, but the main reason I bought this set was to replace the ten year old "R" brand, thinking there might be something better out there. As well, I am not fond of the spring on ANY cuticle clippers. If the edges of the clippers are SHARP, there is NO need for the spring at all! Just "nibble" away and done in comfort IF one has the uncooperative cuticles I have! If you have small hands, this will work, but I wear a size 7 glove and the clippers weren't made for my hands! So, it's up to you. JULEP quality is there, but I hope your handsare small and strong!
