Judith Ripka Sterling 5.60ct Tanzanite and Diamonique Accent Earrings is rated 1.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointment When I opened the package, I was expecting to see a very high quality tanzanite stone deeply saturated in a very vibrant blue violet color intensity. What a complete disappointment.... Instead the stone was a medium shade of blue violet color with not as much sparkle to it which tells me the stone cut was not good. The stone's girdle was thin to thick with chips and the surface of the stone table was pitted. One of the stones was not perfectly oval in shape and appeared shaved at the top. The omega back in one earring did not close tight enough to hold the earring to the ear so it hanged down more that the other. With that being said, it just didn't justify the cost of the earrings set in silver with diamonique. You do get a large tanzanite stone presence but not the quality.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing stones While the design is wonderful, I was quite disappointed in the tanzanite stones. Their color is not as saturated as I had expected, and the bottom half of each stone is strangely pale. They are basically violet blue, but there is an unattractive gray cast to them as well. At this price, the stones should have been of considerably better quality. As long as the inexpensive materials of silver and simulated diamond were used for this piece, I don't see why they didn't just use lab created tanzanite. Then the earrings would have been not only more affordable--they would have had the beautiful rich color such a great design deserves.
