Judith Ripka 14K Clad Cushion Diamonique Cuff Bracelet is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from What a disappointment! I am a long time avid collector of Judith Ripka's jewelry and was introduced to her lovely work at QVC. Through the years I have watched her QVC line become more sophisticated and complex, and welcomed the addition of features that come from her couture line. But ever since she "sold" her company, it seems that the line is becoming more and more "spotty", and less and less reliable for the quality and originality that we had come to expect. This bracelet is a perfect example. I admit to being somewhat shocked when I unwrapped it. It had no weight to speak of, the design work and the finish seemed very pedestrian, and although I've always worn her "extra small", I could barely get my wrist settled under that size. I hate to say it, but the bracelet looks like inexpensive fashion jewelry from a low end department store. At the same time, I also purchased the "Coco" cuff and even paid to have it sized since there was no "extra small" offered in that design. And I also bought Gilda the Goat in both finishes (silver and gold). So there is a widespread difference between pieces in the line which makes it difficult to judge what you are getting from the price point. This last point has become necessary since there is much less consistency in the pieces themselves, and must less information on the web site about each piece. We used to have videos and photographs and more information, in general, about each piece. Now we are lucky if we get a photograph with a woman in it so we get some perspective about each piece. That makes it necessary to judge what it is much more heavily by the price. With a piece like this one, as one reviewer pointed out, you could judge that a $400 or $500 piece would have real value in the materials and be a good value. Now that doesn't appear to mean much. I've decided that a piece that offers special financing has a good chance of being a good value, but if it doesn't, I have to be more careful in my choices. On the whole, Judith's QVC line seems to be dividing in to two or three levels, and the consistency between her less expensive pieces and the more expensive ones has diminished. I am returning this bracelet and will no longer assume that pieces in this price range are still what they once were.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bracelet Is Very Overpriced Even For Judith Ripka I am very sorry I ordered this bracelet. I did not realize that the bracelet was GOLD CLAD STERLING SILVER. If a bracelet is 14 k clad CZ $ 456 is way overpriced even if it has a designer name. I feel QVC should have emphasized that it is not 14K gold. Until recently all their bracelets in the $ 400 price range were set in gold not sterling clad gold. Yes I am aware that the price of gold has gone up drastically but this IS NOT A DIAMOND BRACELET IT IS DIAMONIQUE WHICH IS A CZ! So for OVER $ 400 you are getting a designer name imitation bracelet. DO NOT BUY IT, WAIT UNTIL THE PRICE OF GOLD FALLS SO AT LEAST FOR ALL THAT MONEY YOU WILL GET A GOLD CZ BRACELET!
