Joan Rivers Wardrobe Builders Ponte Knit Pull-On Skirt is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sizing Issue My low hip measurement is 47" so, according to the sizing guide, I am between sizes. I ordered an XL so it would not be too tight in the hips. There is a four inch difference in hip circumference between the two sizes. The XL fits very sloppy around the waist and is too big in the hips. There are a lot of gathers at the waist so it doesn't lay smooth. I'm not sure if the L would fit or not. It's a very well made winter weight skirt but I am leaning toward sending it back because I am unhappy with the fit. A four-inch variance in hip measurements between one size and the next size up is just too extreme, making it difficult to get a good fit.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for me This skirt does not flatter me at all. I look very dowdy in it and it will go right back. I usually like JR clothes but definitely not this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this skirt Ordered black and gray in small. Can't say enough about the fit, fabric, and wear-ability. Perfect for work but can also be dressed up a bit. My only issue was, after washing the gray, the fabric shrunk a bit and now the lining hangs longer than the skirt. I like the skirt so much I will take it to the tailor and have it fixed. I may buy another in black just to have as a back up. It's great to have a nice skirt that doesn't require dry cleaning. xo

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Winter weight skirt. I needed a winter weight skirt and ordered from more then one designer. This skirt is perfection from the dark heather grey color and the fabrication. I am 5'2" and it comes to the middle of my knee cap. The skirt was purchased in my size for pencil skirt 3X so I would say it is true to size. I was surprise when I found that many of the other designers are not providing us with a fabric that mimics gaberdine or wool and not a summer skirt. I have also been looking for a winter pant with same fabric weight the only one I found was a Pant by Linea by Louis Dell'Olio Pull-On Ponte Knit but does not come in petite (18 dollars to taylor). Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flattering skirt I just received this skirt yesterday and I love the fit. Very well made. Even the lining is substantial. I am 5'1" and I did a single waist roll and the length is good. This is a very versatile piece to have in your wardrobe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfection! I purchased the skirt in charcoal, and I'm now buying it in black. This is a perfect knee-length pencil skirt. I ordered my regular size, small, and it fits perfectly. I love how it tapers just a bit to the knee, which makes it look quite stylish. It stretches somewhat as you walk, which is such a clever touch--it is completely comfortable and really classically stylish. It shows a lot of thought in its construction. I would expect to pay easily $100-$200 for such a skirt. Another great design from Joan Rivers!
