disappointing
I ordered this blazer after reading many comments and decided to take a chance, I needed it for a special event. I wear anywhere from a large XL to a small 2X. Ordered the gray in a 1x which is what I wear most often, and even tough I had read about the gray 'trim' when I put it on I thought oh no, the lining is torn and raggedy and hanging out the sleeves! Finally I realized it was the sheer 'trim'. oh my. Tacky, tacky. Still it was not as noticeable at the lapels and time was getting short to find something else. It was snug so I called to order a bigger size and figured I'd sew the 'trim up inside the sleeves & lapel. The only color left in 2X was the blue so I reluctantly ordered it and have to say that of the two, the blue is much more subtle and beautiful- almost blue-black. The pewter color is very in-your-face. and not slimming. The blue would have looked great on my black dress except it was HUGE compared to the 1X. So, they are both going back. Joan can do better than this cheesy looking 'trim" which was not even the same width on the lapel, parts were narrow, then wider, not sewn evenly.

Not so great quality
I was excited to order this jacket, but very disappointed when I saw it. The quality was quite poor. It has a cheaper look than cheaper ones sold in other stores. It also had a sheer border which cheapened the look even more. I expect more from Joan Rivers.
I would always recommend Quacker Factory for price and quality.

Fabulous, lovely blazer!
I'm a empty-nester who dresses stylishly. Am 5 ft 61/2 inches, 145 lbs on small frame. My arms are long and thin but have 36D bust. I bought the small and it fits perfectly. Nicely shaped at waist but not tight. Hides my mommy-pooch. Looks much more expensive than it was. I would have paid $200 for it! Looks like Nieman Marcus stuff I buy. BUY it!!! It does not itch me at all. I wore it with dressy black jeans to the Symphony and just sparkled for the holidays. Love Joan's stuff for us non-petites tho her cropped jackets are too short for middle aged ladies over 5'6". Need more jackets at least 25 inches long, please! Pints and colors would be great.

I ordered both the brown and the navy in my size M. But both are not made the same way!!! The brown color looks spectacular but it isnt well made, looks cheap made. Fits tight and the sleeves are very tight and inside its full of sewn wrinkles and loose threads, crooked seams. The navy is very well done. Fits perfect, everything is well sewn. The inside is also very well done. I will keep both because I love the brown but would like it done like the navy. I think the jackets were manufactured by different Producer. But where is the Qualitycontrol?

sleeves to long
alland all not a bad jacket, a little itchy, my biggest complaintis that the sleeves are way to long, would of been better in a 3/4sleeve! had to send back.

Wearing this for New Year's Eve!!!!
I LOVE this jacket..........it is NOT flimsy as previous mentioned.....rather lightweight, which is perfect to wear over a tank for a night out! I actually love the trim because it makes it more trendy!
I will be wearing this jacket as I ring in the New Year!

The jacket was nice but that trim was awful ..I really thought I had received a defective jacket...if they had left that trim off I would have kept it but very sloppy looking for an elegant jacket...let me know when the trim comes off...

i ORDERED THE JACKET AND THEN READ SOME REVIEWS, SOME WERE NOT GOOD, THOUGHT i WOULD NEED TO RETURN IT, IT WAS DELIVERED AND WHEN i TRIED IT ON i WAS THRILLED WITH IT, WELL MADE, GREAT FIT, REALLY LOVE IT.

GREAT JACKET!!!
BECAUSE OF THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS I HAVE DRAGGED MY FEET IN ORDERING THIS JACKET. THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ARE JUST WRONG. THIS IS A GREAT JACKET IN ALL WAYS-FIT, FABRIC AND ELEGANCE. DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE TRIED TO RUIN THE SALES ON THIS JACKET. I HAVE SEEN THIS CAMPAIGN ON OTHER OF JOAN'S PRODUCTS AND THEY ARE JUST NOT TRUE.

Absolutely Beautiful
I have purchased three sequin jackets over the past two years and disliked each of them so I was hesitant to try Joan's sequin jacket. Since it was on easy pay, I figured why not give it a try and I ordered the Midnight Blue Xsmall. Boy am I glad I took a chance because I absolutely love this jacket, finally someone got it right. The jacket isn't boxy nor is it too fitted; I like that it's not a structured jacket and has some fluidity to it. I can't wait until New Year's Eve to wear this jacket. I must now get this jacket in gray and black. My first Joan River's clothing purchase and it is a WOW!

DASHING BLAZER!!! FOR NEW YEARS EVE
I ordered both the black and the navy in size medium. The fit was perfect and the blue color was really excellent with a hint of black to it. So I returned the black as the blue will look wonderful with black or any color really.

Holiday Party Hit!
I have the brown. I'm a natural redhead. Both the women and men were stopping me asking about this blazer for our neighborhood holiday party. THey had to see itup close, touch it, really check it out. All let me know what a neat way to dress for the holiday. I told them all - you too could have one. I wore jeans, honora pearls, dennis basso cream blouse and Joan's brown sequin Jacket. Looked dynamite! My husband told me I was the hottest women there. My niece's were eyeing the jacket so I gave them the sequin scraff of Joan's.
