Great Classic Skirt Great buy! Purchased white, ordering lavender now, love it so much. XL skirt usually tight but this fits just right, so size down slightly. Buy this skirt you won't regret it. Great for conservative work attire. Comes to just below knee. I am 5'5. 06-15-14
Perfect skirt This skirt is perfect in every way. I have about 10 of Joan's skirts. I prefer this style and the other one just like this without the ruffle. Please, PLEASE make more of these poly cotton lined skirts. These are perfect year round but especially for summer office attire. They wash & wear with ease - just change up the tops and summer is easy. 04-06-13
Ezxcellent Value!!! I purchased the white. It is not at all transparent and fits very well. Perhaps a shade generous. The dainty ruffled hem is pretty and adds just enough interest to a tailored skirt. I loved the length. I like my skirts below my knee by an inch or so. Although I am short that length gives me more height and is office appropriate for the corporate world. I am 58 and short skirts no longer flatter me! I like a longer more chic look. The fabrication is substantial and I think this skirt could easily sell for over $100 in a major department store. I am sure this will serve me well as a great basic during the hot weather. Great for office wear or after five. Good work Joan!!!! 5 STARS Ms. Rivers!!!! 07-08-12
Think this will probably become my "summer basic". Just got this skirt and tried it on. It's a nice length, very comfortable and looks well made. The little ruffle at the bottom is very cute and not the least bit "obnoxious" as some ruffles can be. 06-07-12
Makes a nice suit When MBR said this skirt with the matching jacket (especially in navy) would make a good work suit, I took a second look. I'm always concerned that I might not look as professional in spring/summer because it's more difficult to find quality season-appropriate suits. I prefer long-sleeved jackets for work, but this style in the navy is a very close second. I'm 5'5" and found the skirt a little long. Once it came available again in the petite, I tried that and it is definitely a better length. All the measurements around are a half inch smaller, but it works. 05-29-12
Perfect lightweight lined skirt I am a size 12-14. Right now, I am a little more 14 than 12. I bought the medium in white. It is perfect. I live in the south and this skirt will get MUCH wear over the summer and early fall. It looks great, washes well and is lined!! I did still wear a light colored slip under the white skirt - just to be safe - but I dont know if I needed it or not. Highly recommend!! 05-19-12
runs larger than the other Joan skirts I own 3 or 4 Joan skirts...all are a Large. So I ordered this one in Large (and the jacket in M-again my usual size). This is hanging on me. So sent it back for the M. But this is a nice, lined lighter weight skirt, and the ruffle on the hem is feminine without being too girly for business settings. Most of my business "suits" now are Joan separates. And every time i wear them, I get nothing but compliments. 03-18-12
Joan's impressed me I have to say I was skeptical about buying Joan's clothing, but after purchasing a few pieces, I've found them to be of really good quality with some finishing that most are not doing these tapes (tape on the inside seams). I ordered this skirt and jacket in indigo in my usual QVC/Joan size (medium, size 12, 34" waist). I found this skirt to be a tad big in the waist for me, I could fit my fist in the back if the skirt was sitting at my natural waist. I think if you wear the size 14, it would fit perfectly. The length hit me right below the knee, about the same length as in the item picture - I'm 5'6". I think this is an adorable suit for spring/summer; in the purple or pink - what a cute Easter church outfit, or out to lunch with the girlfriends! 03-12-12
Beautil, flattering skirt for spring This skirt is great. The medium fits true to QVC sizing. Hits my 5'2" frame just at the bottom of the knee. I've ordered the matching jacket but the indigo that I ordered would also be great with a navy twinset. Not really a denim look, more dressy. Very flattering. 03-11-12
Well Done!! LOVE This!! I got the indigo and it is beautifully done - a very dressed up "denim" look. It is fully lined and fits and flatters my curves. I wear a medium and I think it is pure perfection. Got the matching ruffled jacket, too. I am a big fan of Joan's collection - I have so many pieces of hers and always get compliments. You always feel well dressed with Joan! 02-25-12
