Joan Rivers Pave' and Simulated Pearl Spider Pin
So cute... for a spider
This pin is not too large to wear up on the shoulder. It is well made and very attractive. When people point to it and say, "What is that?" I answer, "That is my friend, Abernathy. I take him everywhere." Seriously, this pin does attract attention, the good kind. The legs are especially well done and, should it touch your bare skin anywhere, it does not scratch.
A very decent size with striking colors, I was complimented easily a dozen times the first day I wore this pin. Perfect accent for work or play.
Cannot believe the workmanship!
I believe this is the most wonderful piece of costume jeweiry I have ever purchased! No words can describe the incredible beauty of this piece. It is larger than I had originally thought. I'm a barber and I wear a black cover up, and the spider pin looks astonishing against the black. I've had sooo many compliments from my male clients, it's crazy! And with September being the start of harvest season, I get to wear it a couple of months, although, it's beautiful enough to wear all year long! Joan, you outdid yourself again!
Big, Bold, and Beautiful
Just received my spider. It is so much more than the it showed on the Q. It will have prime position on my shoulder on many outfits. I have several of Joan's dress jackets that will be perfect. My 5 year old grandson wants me to dress up on Halloween. I am to be a witch. The spider will look terrific on the shoulder of my purple velveteen cape or on the matching witches hat. I love all of the pins [and matching earrings when available] I have gotten from Joan. I have the bride bee and keep looking for the groom bee. I have 2 grandsons in their 20s and would like to have the pair so I am prepared for a future wedding.
NOT AN ITSY-BITSY SPIDER
BUT A BIG BEAUTIFUL SPARKLY ARACHNID! I ESPECIALLY LIKE THE BLACK CRYSTALS ON THE LEGS AND THE TOPAZ AND WHITE CRYSTALS ON THE THORAX. JOAN, I HAVE MANY OF YOUR BEE PINS AND OTHER PIECES OF YOUR JEWELLRY, BUT I WILL WEAR THI S ONE OFTEN. I AM SURE YOU ARE AWARE THAT THE SPIDER IS REGARDED AS THE SYMBOL OF THE WEAVER AND THE CREATIVE WOMAN AND AS ONE WHO KN ITS, SEWS, PAINTS AND QUILTS, I WILL WEAR IT AS AN EMBLEM. THANK YOU JOAN FOR ALL YOUR WONDERFUL DESIGNS.
An Exquisite Arachnid--Spider Pin!!!
My postman just delivered this to my front door and it equals all my expectations in beauty, sparkle, and elegance. I've been eyeing it for a long time and with this clearance price, it cannot be beaten. If you get a kick out of the unusual, and little critters, get it before you lose out.
I love the color scheme and size of this pin. Looks great on my Denim & Co sherpa jacket. I have so many of Joan's pins and wish I could wear them all at the same time! This pin has good tension (which is great) but the little thing that you turn is kind of sharp and tough on my fingers. But that's not a biggie... I think the tension is more important (to ensure the spider is stable and doesn't fall off). Also, the pin is well-balanced (doesn't flop around). I'd love to see a nice-sized Swarovski Bald Eagle pin some day (maybe with a little red/white/blue banner or flag underneath)... Keep em coming!
Along came a spider!!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE....LOVE....LOVE....My little spider !!!!!!!!......She is more stunning in person and I adore her !!!!!......I wanted her for the Fall Season, however I know I will keep her active all year long.....EVERY, did I say EVERY time I wear her she is admired by passers by, ( even Men..Oh dear).....I must add My Husband was the first man to flirt with her, (HA HA )......Most of the time I place her at the edge of my jacket or top, just so her little legs are touching my skin, she then looks like she is crawling onto me....What a Kick....Now beleive me I do not care AT ALL for the real thing!!!(spiders that is)...But this little girl has become my new best friend.....Treat Yourself !!!!!....She is such fun!!!!
Thank You Joan for offering her to us.....maybe you could find a baby for her.........
A Joy to Wear
The first time I wore this lovely spider I literally had one foot in the door of the beauty salon and one of the ladies said, "Is that the Joan spider?" I said yes, and she went on to tell everyone that Joan Rivers designs gorgeous pins that are collectors' items. The spider brought many smiles to the salon that day. I wore it the day of my eye exam and the doctor stepped into the room, stopped in his tracks and said, "That's a great spider I really love it when people get into the holidays." My husband told me he likes the pretty spider pin too :-) By the way, did I mention that I love my spider? I have several "Joan" pins and I get compliment after compliment no matter which one I am wearing. Thanks for designing gorgeous pins that bring smiles and joy to those who wear or see them. Keep up the great work!
Realistically Beautiful !
This stunning brooch looks almost real with all it's detail and depth. I will enjoy this for many years, as I do all of my Joan Rivers jewelry ! I have her other Spider Brooch and it is stunning also. I have many of Joan's fashions and drawers and drawers full of her jewelery and I love it all. Keep up the good work Joan and thanks.
GREAT SPIDER PIN!
LOVE IT! I have a KJL spider pin from a couple of years ago and it is silvertone so I wanted this one for my collection as it is so different. It is BEAUTIFUL! I love the black legs and the yellow stoned body is several colors of stones and of course the large pearl really pops. I will pin it on my jean jacket and wear it real soon...if you like spider pins, etc and Joans outstanding Pave work you will love it too! Well worth the money!
Along came a spider
I love pins. I have some that were given to me by family members and I always look to add to my collection. I saw the presentation and thought - here's one to add to it.
It is a really nice size, not huge, but a good size pin. The pin seems sturdy and the color combination is perfect. It's jacket season and I like to wear pins on my coat or jacket and have even started using them on hats.
Although it is not in the least "Halloween-ish" as in garish, I think it will be fun to wear as an accent piece for a dressed up fall look.
