These are the most glamorous readers ever, and the optical quality is the best, even better than my other Joan Rivers ones. I bought these in the blue, which is different from the blue as shown on the web site. It's a deeper, richer cobalt color and quite pretty. They're extremely comfortable, fit perfectly thanks to the spring hinges, and I really enjoy wearing them. Even sewing on a button is a fun task with these on.
About the only complaint reported on these glasses is that the stones fall out. My pair arrived with one stone fallen out, but the stone was still in the package so I used a tiny dot of Gorilla Glue to glue it back on. Then I researched on the Internet how to keep stones from falling out of eyewear and jewelry. There were several different recommended methods, but the one that came up most often was to put a coat of high-quality clear nail polish over the part of the object where stones are set. I plan to do that using Deborah Lippmann's Hard Rock. I believe the reason the stones don't stay on well is that they are glued on top of the glasses; there are no prongs to hold them, and no recessed area for them.
Some types of eyewear with stones have a little indentation where stones fit inside. That would be preferable for the sake of keeping the stones in place, but they have more glitz this way, because you can see the whole stone. I would recommend trying the clear high-quality nail polish and then try wearing them only at home the first few times in case any stones do fall out. That way you're more likely to be able to find them again and put them back on. I think the nail polish will do the trick, though.
I would recommend to the Joan Rivers brand that they include a little packet of just a few stones with each pair just in case. That would eliminate almost the only complaint against them. These glasses are too wonderful to pass up. I'm so glad I nabbed a pair.

Was so excited for the BLING! Wore these just a couple of times and stones fell off by the nose, very noticeable. I am returning and reordering to try one more time because I really like them!?
Rated 3 out of 5 by Bubbles396 Very disappointed!
Receiving this pair of readers in black was so disappointed. A stone was missing and the black looked almost a grey tinge not real black. Sending back received damaged/defective.
I always liked Joan Rivers line. But can not except a stone missing for $45.00.

So glad to see Joan's readers back in stock! I have been wearing them for years, and love them! The lens is crystal clear, frame is flexible, and they look great! Love the hematite crystals, just hope they don't fall off. Would like to have some in purple, and another style with just a few crystals on the temples. David & Melissa, thanks for continuing to bring these terrific readers. Joan would approve!
Rated 5 out of 5 by CHRISCOZZ I CAN SEE CRYSTAL CLEAR!
JOAN RIVERS CRYSTAL GLAM READERS (ordered Tortoise--very pretty with crystal bling--in 2.5 strength) has high quality lens that helps me see crystal clear. Also, very much like the hard protective case and lens cloth that came with these eyeglasses. My only suggestion would be, as others have noted, that the lens would have been larger--since I too like glasses with large lens. A few years ago, I ordered Joan Rivers' sunglasses with built-in 1.5 strength reader for driving and still have and use them--and I know I will have Joan Rivers' Crystal Glam Readers for many years to come as well; these sunglass readers protect my eyesight even in glare from winter sun. As a matter of fact, I often check to see if they have reorder on these reading sunglasses and they have not for some time . . . would be great if they were brought back, since I would buy more and I am sure others will as well. Thank you JOAN RIVERS and QVC!

I got these in blue and loved them until all the stones started falling off and then one of the "arms" also fell off. Sending back. They are a piece of junk.

I was an Optician for many years and I love these. Readers need to be an accessory besides a need. I was looking for a pair that I could put on and cover all my eyes for long reading periods. My mother who lived to be 87 would not wear half eyes. She insisted on having two pairs of glasses. One for reading and one for distance. She was right. Very few half-eyes are really comfortable.
I have Joan's blue and love them. I have 2.50 power. I think I may order another color just so I have two pairs.

I really do love these! However I would like them bigger. The reading glasses are now getting bigger and I like them better. Also I would like alittle plastic for the nose area for alittle more comfort.

I don't think they're cheap looking whatsoever - they're very nice quality and the stones are beautiful. I got the black and I love them. May get the blue too. And I just like having something of Joan's - miss her.

I love all of Joans readers. The fit and shape of these are great as well. the problem for me is the quality of the placement of the crystals. there are non uniform spaces RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES. Maybe less crystals and better workmanship.

I am 72 and use the 1.5. Keep a pair by my computer. Ordered blue and got tortoise Liked them so much kept them and reordered blue. Blue is better than the photos, medium dark. Stones are more subtle. very comfortable I keep the tortoise on a mahogany table by the computer. They look so good there they are part of the decoration

I bought these for my mom as her special gift for Christmas and when I opened the case (which was very nice). I could not believe how cheap these glasses looked. They took a cheap pair of glasses and just dipped them in some glittery stones which had fallen off and left blank spots in the glasses. I was so sad I could have cried. Now back to the drawing board for my moms nicest gift. Please don't waste almost $50 for glasses you can make yourself at home.
