I love this cape. Not too heavy and not bulky at all. Just the perfect weight too! The Joan Rivers line is ideal for the pear shaped woman. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Please don't change the way you design this line. Not all women are pencil thin.

What I didn't like was:
(1) The style is like a sleeveless vest with a cape over it which means your entire arm will tend to peek out when you move (I prefer capes that have arm slits & could kick myself for not noticing during the on-line presentation that this cape didn't have arm slits)
(2) The fact that it is un-lined (it most definitely SHOULD have been lined - capes that cost half as much as this one are lined!)
(3) The open collar with no button at the top to close it up on cool days
Since I liked two things about this cape and didn't like three things it isn't a keeper for me. I'd say it is just okay and not worth the price.

I PURCHASED THIS CAPE IN BLACK. TRUE TO SIZE. NICE LOOK. I GET COMPLIMENTS EVERY TIME I WEAR IT. GREAT WORN CASUAL OR DRESSED UP.

I ordered this in the black, xxs (5'3", 110 lbs), fit is nice and roomy; length is similar to car-coat length. Fabric weight is a bit lighter than expected, but it does allow for heavier clothing to be worn underneath which is what drew me to the piece in the first place. As far as sizing is concerned, the biggest issue to keep in mind is the size of the shoulder/arm holes. While there are no "arms" in this piece, there are specifically sized arm holes at the shoulder that you'll want to consider when choosing size. If you plan to wear bulky sweaters and/or blazers, you might want to size up to ensure fit in this area. The main reason I only gave this 4 stars is because the underside of the cape is not lined. That is a big flaw if you ask me as it lessens the quality of the piece since the underside is visible when raising your arms (e.g., when carrying a nice handbag!). A nice silk-like lining would have finished this piece off perfectly and given this a more sophisticated feel. I plan on adding a lining to mine to elevate the look.

I have had my issues with fit/quality of the merchandise I have been ordering lately and I am ready to pull the plug on the Q. I am a size medium with Q sizing, but I ordered a large to accommodate winter sweaters or jackets.
I especially love the length of the cape & the weight of the fabric. I hope it is warm enough to use in our Michigan winter. The style will work for any activity. Good to wear with jeans & running to the store or lunch with my friends OR perfect with an evening bag and heading to the theater. IF the fabric warm and durable & wears well without peeling, I am sure this cape will in my closet for many years.

I bought this cape in the camel color. It is very classy looking and well made. I like the button front as it looks more sophisticated and unique. I saw the reviews that said it ran big so I ordered the medium rather than my usual large and the fit is good. I think it depends on whether or not you plan to wear heavy clothing underneath. I tired it on to show some friends and they loved how it looked and fit. I can't wait to wear it!

I am thrilled with this purchase and cannot wait for colder weather so that I may wear this beautiful cape. I rarely get this excited about clothing - maybe that is because I have been waiting for more unique pieces with a vintage feel like this one (one that's also very flattering like this one too). This would be exquisite in a burgundy or wine color, PLEASE?!
Very Highly Recommend!
