Rated 1 out of 5 by Lillie1 So Disappointed - Poor Quality
On TV this necklace looked really wonderful, yet when I opened the box, I was so very disappointed. The necklace arrive completely tangled up and it looked liked a kid's summer camp art project. The leather is actually very thin, flimsy, and cheap, and the necklace is very poorly made. The turquoise stones are of poor quality and the necklace is too over priced! I am so disappointed that this was featured as an American West jewelry item. My expectation is that all American West jewelry will use high quality materials and gemstones and that all American West jewelry will be well made. This necklace missed the mark on all levels! Back it goes to the Q!

SO LOOKED FORWARD TO RECEIVING THIS. UPON OPENING, ONE OF THE FLIMSY LEATHER STRINGS WAS DISCONNECTED FROM THE TOP OF THE NECKLACE..IF THE DESIGNER HAD USED A VERY FINE LEATHER CORD IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BEAUTIFUL

I also can understand the controversy on this necklace. The leather cords are slim, soft and pliable. I wouldn't say they are flimsy. They are soft on the neck and hang nicely. A firmer, thicker cord would be bulky, irritating and not hang nicely. In my opinion, this was designed perfectly. My necklace arrived with the hanging "Y" piece just draping from the rest of the necklace. This was fine with me, as I did not see the presentation of this, and I was wondering if it could be worn with or without the "Y". It can. It is versatile that way. Looks great as a "Y" necklace, without the "Y" by itself, and without the "Y" and with an enhance (the all-silver naja looks great with this). The turquoise is blue-green-- not the sleeping beauty shade, but that's fine with me, and it looks lovely.

I can understand the controversy over this necklace. It IS on the "flimsy" side, if you look at it that way. To me, it translates to soft and feminine. I'm not the smallest gal on the planet and generally go for the bigger, the better. I'm tall'ish (5'7") and my style is typically bold. This necklace is not my usual style, and it's not the usual necklace. It is different from everything else out there, thus my interest. I love the softness of the suede, and the turquoise perfectly sets off the brown, not the usual black, which makes it just that much more interesting. And I normally wouldn't put brown with silver, either, which just adds to it's intrigue. It's not something that will jump out at you, but is a subtle finishing touch. Sitting here thinking, I'm wondering how TWO of them, layered, would work. Hmmmmmm!!

Seriously? Thin, cheap pieces of leather with some beads on it. Not sure it's real turquoise....Doesn't look like it. I make jewelry and I would be ashamed of this. Good concept, just very poorly executed. I will not be purchasing anymore from this line if this is indicative of the quality.

When I received this necklace, I was really disappointed in the quality and how it was made. I love the style of the necklace, but It was not nearly what I expected. It is in 2 pieces and the blue-green turquoise was just plain green. It was not worth the price I paid for it. I am sending it back. I am surprised it made it in the American Southwest category.

Love this necklace! Brings me back to my younger Woodstock days! (That is where I live!) It is obviously very different and not everyone's cup of tea. It has a casual earthy organic bohemian feel. Looking forward to receiving the matching bracelet which I'm sure will complement this cool necklace! Thanks Jennifer! Keep up with the great unique designs!
