The Inside Story

It's not surprising that one of Jackie's favorite designers was also one of her mother's. Jackie's mother Janet was in her early teens when she began going to Europe to shop for clothes right after World War I. Janet's mother took her three girls with her to train them in the fine art of acquiring the right clothes and accessories, and the only place you could do that was Europe. The trip was always the same. First to London for a week or two, then to Paris for a week or two, and while waiting for the seamstresses to make the second fitting for the clothes, the group went to Italy to relax for a few days. Then back to London and Paris for final fittings, and from there, directly back to New York by ship. The proper accessories could only be bought after the clothing was made.

Quality very disappointing Loved the look of this necklace ,but 2 were shipped both broken.The quality of this line seems to be very cheap. I don't think Jackie would promote a line of jewelry that was of this quality. 02-15-13

Concerned With Recent Quality I am a huge fan of this line and have MANY pieces from it. Three of the pieces I have ordered this year arrived either broken at a hinge or broke the first time I wore it. All the pieces are timeless and beautiful, but please, please, please! More attention to quality construction. I am returning this for a replacement 07-08-12

Wonder to get a vintage original Coco Chanel piece This is a very unusual and showy piece. For those who say it looks like costume jewelry ,they know little about Chanel. It's suppose to look like costume jewelry -- that was the point. This is not a copy of 18KT gold. I believe this is a Paul Iribe or Verdura piece. Chanel commissioned both of them in the 1020s. It looks more Verdura to me. I'm thrilled to get such a Chanel piece and love that Mr. Katz brings us these marvelous pieces. It's very well made, and the crystals are lovely. It makes a statement and would be great for the evening. 02-25-12

Did not look real Bought this after watching it on qvc and waited eagerly for it to arrive. After seeing it, somehow, to me it looked like a costume jewelry, therefore, I returned it. 02-05-12

Breathtaking Bigger than you think, with more presence than anything besides the iconic pearls. This is stunning, the chain is amazing and the pendant reminds me of a piece of freeform lace with beading. My goodness this is pretty. So ladies you will not wear this with a white shirt and jean. However, put on a pair of black slacks and a black top and POP this on with a pair of small simple earrings and your wedding ring. Let this one shine without too much else going on with it.
