InsideQ: What's your favorite memory from the past year on Anything Goes?
Rick: There are so many moments—being on live national TV with no pants, busting a move, having a blast and singing along with Wilson Phillips. We've done so many things!
Shawn: When I went to Italy without ever leaving the QVC Studio! They put me on the green screen and inside of 60 seconds I went to Italy, Dublin, and France—and I was ridiculously imitating the accents. Rick then paid me a really kind compliment—he said something like he never knew I could speak Italian so well. It's fun to be able to do something silly and step outside of the realm of what we normally do.
InsideQ: Why do you two get along so well?
Rick: Although we have vastly different backgrounds and upbringings, we somehow have a lot in common. We also sincerely love and respect the QVC viewers who watch the show.
Shawn: He's like my big brother. He can crack a joke at my expense or make fun of me without even saying anything. He just cocks his head and squints one eye as if to say, "You're a little off" and it's like when I was eight years old and my brother made fun of me! But underneath it all, we have a great deal of respect for each other.
InsideQ: What's your favorite product you've sold?
Rick: The Eurosteam Steam Iron. It endlessly shoots steam. It gets wrinkles out of everything in its path, from jeans to shirts to, yes, even the wrinkles in my face (but don't try that at home!).
Shawn: Poo-Pourri Bathroom Deodorizer! I know it seems like a gag gift, but the stuff works—it wicked works! It's not like I walk around talking about poo all day, but when the topic comes up, we all do it. It happens. And it could smell better. That's all I'll say.
InsideQ: What are you looking forward to in 2013?
Rick: Anything Goes with Rick and Jane. Seriously, though, we'd love to go on the road. Our dream is to go to viewers' homes and maybe do the show live. Live from your living room! Please have food ready—the crew gets hungry.
Shawn: I think we're both looking forward to building our Anything Goes family with viewers and continuing to welcome people into our dysfunctional Anything Goes home with all sorts of cool products. But what we most hope for in the New Year is probably that our show doesn't get cancelled!
