Isaac Mizrahi Live! Painterly Chevron Print Maxi Skirt
Lovely but very long
Of course I know it's a maxi skirt, but I am 5'7" with a 33 inch jeans inseam. On me it dragged on the floor. My choice was to wear a 4 inch heel, roll up the waistband, or pay to have it hemmed. I didn't like any of these options so I reluctantly returned it. The green was very attractive, soft material, appeared to have quality lining. It would have looked so cute with a t-shirt and a pair of flat sandals. Of course you can't accommodate all women. Fits true to size in the waist. Buy it if you are very tall, wear very high heels, or can hem. Can't recommend to my friends as they are all shorter than I am.
love this skirt
It is so versatile, dress it up or down, always comfortable. Light and flowey and very forgiving. I am a definite pear shape so the working draw string is wonderful. Be aware, it is long. I love it so much that I have it in 3 colors
These Are Absolutely Lovely Skirts
I just can't believe the great price on these beautiful skirts! I got the black and gray color, loved it so much that now I have the pink. They are both very high quality, fit well and feel soft and silky. The pink one is extremely lovely, I just might go back and get all the other colors too at this price!
Great Summer Skirt
I found this skirt by accident as a lunchtime special. I was really hoping to get the blue, but by the time I checked the measurements for size, the blue was gone! So I ordered a pink one and a green one. I am 5'9" and normally wear a size 6 or 8 (lately more an 8) in Jones New York, Anne Klein, Kasper, Tahari, etc. The size small in this skirt is perfect for me. I can pull it up over my hips or down over my head. The drawstring waist makes it easy to be comfortable and I have plenty of room (but not too much) in the hips. I am tall enough that I can wear the skirt with flat sandals, as I did this week, and the fabric just brushes the top of my foot. But I could also wear a bit of a heel or wedge as well. The green reminds me of camouflage in person more than on the screen, but I unexpectedly discovered a couple of tank tops in my closet that are the exact color of the lighter shades in the skirt, so it worked. The pink is fabulous. The price made this a nice way to wear the current maxi trend without breaking the bank in case it passes quickly. Even though the pattern is so distinctive that it's obvious I'm wearing the same skirt in different colors, I would come back for the blue one too if it became available. Those of us who are old enough to know what a slip is (hard to find them in the stores anymore), probably still have a longer one hanging around somewhere if the sheerness of the fabric is an issue. All in all, a great summer skirt. I am glad I got it!
Love the Colors
Got this in the pink combo and absolutely love the colors. Could not believe how soft and comfy the skirt felt when I put it on. Since I am only 5'3", it will need to be hemmed, but no worries I plan on using the extra material to make a sash belt to wear with it. I gave it a four because it is a little too shear for me, but I can put something on underneath it. Will be wearing on vacation in July!
Ordered down - slimming
I am 5'3" tall, with a 39-32-42" figure. In order to look good in clothes, I need to minimize the volume, hence the amount of material. I ordered the grey in XS. It goes over the head, sits comfortably at the waist, and of course, is an inch or two too long. No worries, just roll the waistband inward one roll to take up an inch and to eliminate the gathered puckers at the back of the waist. Now it looks like a sleek Hollywood waistband, and can be worn with a heel. I could have gone down to an XXS because the roll brings the A-line skirt higher, which would probably accommodate my hip measurement. But I will keep this size since I don't have to struggle to get it on. A couple fewer inches in the max size of the waistband might have meant too much of a struggle. The grey will work with white, navy blue, black, red, and grey tops. WooHoo. Please interpret my fit advice from the garment dimensions point of view, not the women's size recommendations.
I have this in the blue, and it's great for work, for going out, for everything. Doesn't wrinkle so I'm definitely taking it when I travel. I can dress it up or keep it casual.
Love Love Love
Someone needs to return a 1X in red or green please because I really want one. Already have grey and blue. Perfect for a tall woman like me (5'10") to wear with heels. If you are much shorter than me you will need to have this hemmed. Beautiful and you can't beat the clearance price. Love your line, Isaac!
Good not Great
I purchased this skirt in the medium green color. I am 5'10" and love it when I find long skirts. I usually wear a size 12 so I purchased a medium and it is a little snug getting on so I could have gotten a size large. The pattern is OK looking, not as good as I though it looked on screen. I will pair it with a white t-shirt and sandals for a nice summer look.
Mr. Isaac your skirt was made good but the lining is to thin and the world mush not see a lady business. All clothers mush have a good lining when standing in God's light, just letting you know. So love your clothes.
lovely long skirt
i initially ordered the pink color in my usual size Large. It was very big, with at least an extra inch of material on either side. Sent it back & went for the Medium in blue. While it is a little snug at the waist, it is still a much better fit than the Large. I am 5'8", the skirt is very long. I had to roll it up once by the waist. I am considering go back for the pink skirt in the medium size. Its very pretty.
I like this skirt a lot. I can’t wait to wear it! It is a little too cool to wear in my area right now. I am normally in between sizes especially when they are letters s,m,l… instead of numbers. My QVC size is usually a small or medium. (I am right at the 8/10) I got the medium. I don’t mind how the medium fits but I could have easily gone down to a small.
