Isaac Mizrahi Live! Painterly Chevron Print Maxi Skirt
Good not Great
I purchased this skirt in the medium green color. I am 5'10" and love it when I find long skirts. I usually wear a size 12 so I purchased a medium and it is a little snug getting on so I could have gotten a size large. The pattern is OK looking, not as good as I though it looked on screen. I will pair it with a white t-shirt and sandals for a nice summer look.
Mr. Isaac your skirt was made good but the lining is to thin and the world mush not see a lady business. All clothers mush have a good lining when standing in God's light, just letting you know. So love your clothes.
lovely long skirt
i initially ordered the pink color in my usual size Large. It was very big, with at least an extra inch of material on either side. Sent it back & went for the Medium in blue. While it is a little snug at the waist, it is still a much better fit than the Large. I am 5'8", the skirt is very long. I had to roll it up once by the waist. I am considering go back for the pink skirt in the medium size. Its very pretty.
I like this skirt a lot. I can’t wait to wear it! It is a little too cool to wear in my area right now. I am normally in between sizes especially when they are letters s,m,l… instead of numbers. My QVC size is usually a small or medium. (I am right at the 8/10) I got the medium. I don’t mind how the medium fits but I could have easily gone down to a small.
Got the blue color and like the print and the soft colors. I'm 5'7 and the length is perfect. I find that it runs true to size ,I got the XXS and the fit is perfect. The material is soft and it flaws wonderfully on the body. I cannot believe the bargain price. It is worth every penny and so much more. Another wonderful piece from Isaac!!!
It Does Run Large And Long
I purchased the green and blue. Having them shortened 3 inches to the ankle and I am 5'5" the waist is to big but I can deal with that. Wonderful colors.
Very Pretty Skirt!!!
I've read the reviews and had to get this skirt. I 'm actually lovin' the green, even though it's a color I would'nt normally wear. This Maxi's very light, flowy and pretty for spring. I'm 5'7, love wearing heels and this skirt is wonderfully long for that., I too got many compliments.
Love Love Maxi's
I Love Maxi's, and I orderd 3 of these in different colors the fabric is wonderful, it is so colorful, fills good on and It is a classic, I get so many compliments, one of my BEST purchases.
Very Pretty, Very Long
This skirt by Isaac Mizrahi is beautiful, the fabric and design are fabulous, but the length is very long. As another reviewer wrote, yes, it IS a Maxi, but I believe that a Maxi should be able to be worn with flats and low heeled sandals, as well as occasionally dressing it up with high heels. This was not the case for me. I am 5'6 and it dragged on the floor with low-heeled sandals. Since I didn't want to be limited to only wearing 3 inch heels with it, it was returned. But it is, again, a very beautiful skirt (thus the 4 stars) and I think if you're at least 5'7 or above, it will work well for you!
beautiful and flattering
I bought this skirt on a whim a couple of weeks ago just because of the great clearance price and the easy payments. I first ordered the blue and then came back for pink and gray. I love maxi skirts for the warmer weather because they're comfortable and conceal what you want to while still being cool. I am a size 14, but ordered a medium based on some reviews and because I didn't want too much extra fabric to bunch up. While I have to kind of shimmy to get it over my hips, I'm glad I went with the smaller size because it's not tight at all with the drawstring middle and looks very flattering. I also like the smaller size because I experimented with pulling the skirt up and down to alter the look and length. I'd say you could even pull it up to just below the breast and with a tank underneath, it looks like a hybrid maxi dress. If you don't have a larger chest, it could even work as a tube dress pulled all the way up. Looks great as a skirt of course. Yes it's a bit long. I'm 5'6" and have to pull it up a bit if I want to wear flats, but I think for that reason I'm glad I got the smaller size because I can pull it up or down depending on my shoes.
I love this long skirt! Yes, it is long (I'm 5'7" and I have about 3-4" before it hits the floor in flats) but I think it's part of the charm of this skirt. Granted, it's not for everyone but for me it's a wonderful light (slightly see through in direct light, if you have an issue with that, I do not, I think it's part of the charm and lightness of it). If you note, the model in the picture is wearing heels so bear that in mind when you order. I love the length and lightness of it. It will be a perfect summer piece (although I have already worn it on a warmish day). There is an elastic waist (non-binding) and it has a drawstring which is purely ornamental. I think if you take into consideration the things I have said, you will either adore or should not order this skirt.
Pretty but way too long
Very pretty. Good value. Unfortunately, dragged on floor. I am 5' 5".
