The bracelet has extensive, irregularity on each pearl and one pearl is defective with a deep gouge. I do not know how this could have passed quality control. The bracelet is going back. I purchased the matching necklace a while back and it is beautiful. I am familiar with the irregular surfaces on the Ming pearls but this bracelet was extremely poor quality.

I really like the co.our variety and size of the "Ming" pearls and the nice size. However, I'm not a big fam of the more organic and uneven shape of some of the pearls farmed with this process. When the necklace from this collection was a TSV, I ordered two of the necklace, but only one each of the bracelet and earrings. I was lucky with the earrings. As for the necklaces; one was very organic and one much smoother and refined. Naturally I kept the more refined and smooth strand. The earrings were fine and complimented the neck strand. All of them do have beautiful colour and lustre. However the bracelet was much to organic than I prefer; it's simply a matter of taste. I have both purchased and made pieces with very organic shapes of baroque, keshi and other varieties of pearls, but they are what they are, and not nearly as expensive.
I had another issue on the bracelet which I also have with the necklace (I am repairing it); the clasp. It's sterling, whereas to do 14k on a clasp wouldn't have added an insurmountable amount of $.
Also, on the spring ring ~ it just does not seem strong enough to hold the weight of the pearls. It's a thin, maybe a 20 gauge wire and only about 6mm in
diameter? That does not seem strong enough for the weight of these beautiful pearls.
So between the clasp issue and the strong organic presence...it went back. I'm hoping to see better construction and gem matching in the future, as the Ming pearl has strong potential.

first I want to say the bracelet is beautiful and I planned to wear everyday! However, today the pearls separated and the bracelet almost broke. I considered taking to a jeweler to have restrung but the cost is already too much. I am so disappointed and have to return.
Joel if you read this I love this bracelet and wanted an all Ming bracelet.. so if you can do this again without the breaking of the string... please remember me and let me be your first to try. I have loved Honora and purchased for years and am so sad I must return as it is defective.

The pearls were beautiful but cannot get past the fact that the strand was unknotted. For this price, I would expect them to be. Actually, I had just 3 knots- probably there to help make the bracelet bend easily.
Knots are there for several reasons. Will purchase a bracelet when they make a knotted version. I did like the matching necklace - it was knotted.
