Honeywell 52-Pint Indoor Portable Evaporative Air Cooler is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as expected I had high hopes for this given the reviews I read, but it didn't work for me. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because it came quickly. It's a pretty machine, but that's about it. I never could get cold air to come out of it. I bought this to cool a SMALL room and it was a disaster. The water that flows through the ice compartment melts all the ice you put in almost immediately. I would have had to stand there and keep replenishing the ice every few minutes to get semi cold air. Too much trouble. Going to just cave and get a window unit.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hard to keep it cool It's nice as a big fan. To keep it good and cool, you need ice....lots and lots of ice. You have to keep it full non stop. It melts in less than 30 minutes and you fill it up, again and again and again. You work up a sweat trying to keep cool. Being disabled...makes it hard to do. I sent mine back today.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from works okay but clunky Lots of work is needed to run this beast of a machine. constantly needs ice refills to make air halfway cold.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful So I hv central heat and air but tends to get warmer upstairs because as you know heat rises. With my central a.c. this still doesn't change the temp in the room. Its basically a very expensive fan. Feels great when your standing right in front of it other wise no good at all!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WORKS GREAT I ordered this for my office at work because it is small and gets really hot. The fan works almost as well as the air conditioner. You just have to make sure the water level is above the fill line and add ice cubs to the top of the unit. I just plug it is and let it cool everything off. No need to run anything out of a window either.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great air cooler This is a great air cooler.Very easy to use.My only complaint is that it's over priced.Your other competitor has it for $40 less and it's $100 less at Walmart. So will be returning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great It lives up to my expectations. It keeps it 10 to 15 degrees cooler in my living area about 300 square feet. The ice tank when filled melts really fast due to the water running over it. It also cools the water which cools the air, so win win. I keep a cold pitcher of water in the fridge to refill works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! I live on the second floor of an apartment complex that uses a swamp cooler on the roof as air conditioning in the apartment, and when it hits 80 degrees or higher, the airflow is hot and stuffy until evening time(being summer months). I needed to find something to cool the room down so I could avoid having to go out in the day to a cooling center or a mall to stay cool (being outdoors is not a good option for me as I take medication that has side effects if I am out in sunlight, makes me a bit dizzy even if I wear a hat, have tried different ways to spend time outdoors longer but my health is not quite up to it at this time). This cooler works for my apartment in that I can control where I need it to be in the room for maximum cooling; I am able to easily put sufficient cool water into the machine's tank (I use a gallon jug and put about 2-3 gallons to start); the "swing" button lets the air flow travel back and forth to cool the room, and it worked so well the floors get very cold too...it works good if you have ventilation from an open window, but recently I had moved it across from the window and used the swing button to cover the room and everyone commented the airflow was great. If it gets too humid you can leave it in fan mode and still stay cool. The wheels on the bottom make it easy to move around the room(my living room area and dining room/kitchen areas have tile floor). The water tank indicator is a floater behind a see through panel that clearly shows the water level. You can control the flow of water to the padding in the back of it on top of the unit; a small door opens on the top where you can adjust the flow of water and put ice in the tray to make the air more cold. The remote control beeps when you press the button to turn it on or to adjust the speed, or to make it cool or just use the fan. Overall this cooler was a great investment for my one bedroom apartment. It allows me to be able to stay home during the day in comfort and avoid the high heat outdoors.
